Michelle’s place is quite nice (medium to higher level finishes), very clean and feels and looks really new. She is so thoughtful and provides many basics like laundry soap, shampoo and conditioner, spices, oils and really nice kitchen equipment and pots/pans (which isn’t always the case with rentals…) and THREE ways to make coffee (I prefer a French press and there was one there!!) You are even greeted with a basket of snacks upon arrival - a very nice touch! She respects your privacy completely, but is very friendly and so helpful if you reach out to her. My impression is that she is a really great human being! Just a Note - the space is a little on the small side. The bedroom is quite small and it’s even a little bit hard to get around to the far side of the bed, but the bed is super comfortable, so it’s not such a big deal. The only TV is in the bedroom - not an issue for us as we were out and about from morning until later at night, but I thought I should mention it in case someone was wanting more space to hang out or the ability to watch TV in the other room. Another note is that the front porch is really beautiful to hang out on, to drink coffee in the morning, or if you are not out and about, I could see reading a book there. If the weather is good, this adds quite a bit of hanging out space in a beautiful environment.

Visiting the state of WA for the first time and Michele was the perfect host and the house was the perfect place to stay. Everything we needed was there. We grilled steaks on the grill. And greatly appreciated the washer/dryer as it made packing for the trip much less. The bed was super comfy, the shower amazing. Not sure what else I can say other than if you are thinking about renting this DO IT! You won’t be sorry. Thank you Michelle!

This is the second time that we have stayed in this marvelous home. We will keep coming back because it is the perfect getaway. Michele is the perfect host with her attention to details that make our stay nothing short of spectacular. This was the perfect base camp for our adventures. Everything we wanted to do was within and hour and a half drive. Fun during the day and relaxing evening on the porch. The house is in a great location for exploring Olympic National Park - close enough to provide access to the beaches and trailheads, and just out of the way enough to provide a relaxing place to come back to and enjoy the view from the porch in the evening. This was the perfect central location for our adventures in the Olympic national park! We enjoyed hiking, beaches and waterfalls and returned to our quiet property to enjoy a meal on the porch or by the firepit. It was wonderful to be 2 minutes from town but feel like we were in a cabin in the woods. Loved it!

Charming home in a peaceful setting centrally located to everything Olympic National Park. This lovely home was so welcoming to come back to after a full day of incredible hiking in Olympic National Park. For a short excursion visit the Elk Creek Conservation Trail just one mile down the road. Extremely clean, with great decor, this home had everything you could possiblly want and then some. Michele has provided all those little touches that make you feel well cared for and pampered. From a very thoughtful basket of snacks to enjoy to coffee, creamer, water, refreshments awaiting in the fridge to all your needs in kitchen, bath and laundry. Even though it is a small house, it does not feel that way - Michele has made use of every space and provided plenty of storage. Great place to create special memories!

This is a small house and quite tight in some areas (bedroom, fridge area), but it has everything you need to be comfortable. They even had a basket of snacks to enjoy! Great outside covered deck area with reclining chairs with a view of the mountains. You can also sit on the chaise sofa with a cup of coffee and look out the windows at the same scenery. 10-15 minute walk to the river. 3 miles from downtown Forks.

Everything about this place and its host was perfect. The location was right outside the city limits and backed up to the forest. Every morning was gorgeous. Fantastic property. Spotless inside. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking-ware. Michele even left out some snacks and coffee for us. The check-in process was super easy and Michele was very communicative anytime I had a question. The location easy to find from Forks and ideally located for touring the Peninsula and especially the national park. We definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

This was a very nice little rental that was perfect for us! The great location made it easy to see all the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. The place was super clean, well stocked, and had a nice view from the porch. Town center is just down the road, but you still felt secluded. One morning we sat on the porch and watched the mist roll in through the trees, and another day sat and watched a beautiful sunset. Michele was a lovely host. There was a little welcome basket with snacks when we arrived, she then offered us apples she had just picked and then later wild mushrooms a friend had picked. How nice! The couple of times we contacted her with questions she responded within minutes. So very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a delightful stay. The property was not just everything it promised; it exceeded our expectations. Perfect in size, comfortable on every way, and our host went above, beyond, and took another pass at it. Loved the attention to the small things (when was the last time you got a welcome basket of snacks in a rental?), and loved hanging outside by the fire, watching a sky full of stars, enveloped in nothing but the sounds of nature.

The Hideaway was exactly what I was hoping for - remote, quiet, gorgeous views but all the comforts of a well-appointed, seemingly brand new place with an owner who was very responsive and friendly! Loved sitting on the porch and soaking up the gorgeous views! SO glad we stayed there instead of a hotel or b&b! Even though it's in the western part of the park, the location was still a great jumping off point for our exploration of Olympic NP. Just a few minutes from grocery store, gas, restaurants and only 30 minutes from Rialto Beach. Wished we could have stayed more than 3 nights!

Lovely little home with every detail considered. Beautiful property and Michelle was a wonderful host, available for help when we needed it! A word to the wise, Forks is very remote as is most of the Olympic Peninsula. There was a service/internet outage the day we arrived and we had no service from Lake Crescent to Forks and it took about 24 hours for service to come back. We were glad we brought paper maps and downloaded directions to our different destinations! Would absolutely recommend Michelle's little Hideaway for those looking for a home base to stay while touring Olympic National Park!

There's absolutely nothing that could have made our vacation better! The house is perfectly located and decorated. It has unparalleled views of the forest. Michelle, the owner, is absolutely fantastic. We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Forks. We look forward to returning.
