DooN Resort & Farmhouse stay

Facility was in outskirts of Dehradoon. Its 100% natural place,basically a 2 BHK home,with big lawn,full of lichies,mangoes ,mosambi and peaches.greenary all around. Very calming and peaceful and relaxing vacation . Need to cook your own food here or you can dine out in surrounding restaurants . Staff Babli devi and himmat singh are very promt and caring,neighbors are also supportive. beautiful place nd people .

The location is great. Very accessible, right beside the road. The huge garden between the house and the main road protects it from the noise. The caretaker Mr Himmat was very friendly and was available at practically all times. The kitchen was equipped with all the basic necessities. I had my dog with me and he loved the spacious garden. There are ample number of shops and restaurants nearby.

I'd like to divide my 4 day (and 3 nights) stay into two parts. The first part - I arrived and was handed over the key by Mr Himmat. I was told that the house has been cleaned, but it wasn't. I was very disappointed at first. My parents were with me, and I could see the disappointment on their faces as well. The bedsheets had not been changed - might not have been used by someone, but they were definitely there for quite some time. The dampness inside the house showed that it wasn't opened since a long time. The outdoor part was not cleaned and the algae (I went during monsoon) made it slippery to walk. The chairs outside weren't clean and some were broken. We bought air freshner to clear the odour. The leg of one bed was broken and even though it was stable there was a tilt that was uncomfortable. I complained to Mr Himmat and he acted on it immediately. The maid was sent and she cleaned the house thoroughly. The difference was clear. New bedsheets were provided, and the outdoors were cleaned. The second part began after this, and it was wonderful, and my expectations were restored. I had a pretty good time afterwards. Everything could have been great since the beginning if the house was cleaned before we arrived. Other things that could have made things better - a basic refrigerator and a television. The tubelights were removed for some reason, thus the lighting was poor, should be worked upon. The windows of one room had no curtains. The plastic cover and cardboard covers from the mattress weren't removed, was bothering at times.
