Head across the street, hop on board the shuttle, and spend the day at Okemo Mountain Resort (three-quarters of a mile west) with its 121 trails, 20 lifts, 632 skiable acres of terrain, and 2,200-foot vertical drop - the highest in all of Southern Vermont. Come summer, you'll find the Okemo Valley Golf Club one mile north, with the serene shores of Lake Rescue (four miles north) and Echo Lake (six miles north) just a short drive beyond. Within walking distance are a number of popular gear shops and eateries, including Killarney, The Cookster, and Goodman's American Pie.

We arrived to the cottage and there were no towels, wash cloths, hand towels. Also the bed sheets were covered in hair. Probably pet hair but we did not bring any. Notified prop mgmt immediately; they said I would receive a response on fixing the issues. Over 3 hours later I hadn’t received an update so I contacted via email/ text. We live 11+ hours away and just wanted to shower and rest but that wasn’t possible. No showers and we slept on top of the bed cover with the blanket we brought. We finally received clean towels the next morning around 10am as we were headed out for the day. Luckily the lady had an extra set of sheets in her car. The property listing said that there was a shuttle to Okemo “across the street.” The apt is on a busy road so there is nothing across the street. I asked 3 or 4 people with vacasa and not one could give me an exact location or time. One lady said to just stand outside and wait for them. Having easy access to a shuttle was one of the reasons we chose this rental. Since it is located on a main road you can clearly hear the cars so don’t expect to sleep in last 7am. The cottage itself was very cute and close to shops/restaurants.
