This unique beach retreat also offers guests direct beach access from the main deck. Nedonna Lake is within walking distance and is perfect for fly fishing, so anglers better be ready! Some fish that you can find here are smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, brook trout, and perch. Downtown Rockaway Beach is two and a half miles south where you will find just about everything you may need, including great restaurants, a market, and some souvenir shops. If you want to drive into a larger town, take a 17-mile drive down the highway to Tillamook, which has an amazing and famous cheese factory, a variety of restaurants, and plenty of stores. Manzanita and Cannon Beach are a short drive north, offering incredible shops and terrific restaurants. Outdoor enthusiasts will love visiting Cape Meares State Park, which is almost 32 miles away and offers scenic hiking areas, jaw-dropping viewpoints, and a historic lighthouse.
Inside, the open floor plan effortlessly combines the kitchen, dining area, and living room. Start your days with a mouth-watering breakfast prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen before heading out to explore the beach and find treasures hidden in the sand. the house was great. it had a couple of things that needed attention, but we loved the location, plenty of room for all of us,and pretty much everything we needed.

The layout of the home is comfortable - the deck and front room were great for hanging out as a family. The bedrooms were all decent sized. The bathrooms have hand-held shower heads with sliding bar to adjust the height, which is super nice for getting sand off. But if you're a tall person, I think they would be on the short side. The kitchen is small but working. Lots of countertop appliances, lots of ziplock bags, but almost no pantry staples. You'll have to buy your own cooking oil and salt even. The kitchen table needs replacement, it was so sticky that it can't be used for anything. The bath towels and kitchen towels need replacing as well. They were stained and really dingy, even after washing in hot water. Lots of sand toys, kites, and beach tents were in the garage. But only one folding beach chair, so you'll need to bring your own. The beach access is a really short walk through some overgrown beach grass (should be cut back). But then there is a decent drop down through the dune to get to the beach. Anyone with mobility or balance issues should bring a walking stick or get some support for this part of the walk. The washer/dryer are speed queen so they worked like champions. And there were no problems with the wifi. Overall, you are paying for the size of the home and the beach access. All the other "luxuries", like bedding, mattresses, towels, etc. were mostly functional but not nice.
