About this house rental
This almost new, professionally decorated 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath three story single family home has all the bells and whistles to make this an incredible vacation retreat for everyone in the family. Built in 2019 and ideally situated close to town on a quiet street, you are just a short stroll to the beach, with peaks of the bay throughout the home. A mahogany deck and wood front door provide rich detail upon entering the home. Inside, hardwood floors run throughout all three floors as well as an incredible trim package, which includes transom windows and wainscoting with ship lap accent walls in every bedroom. The first floor boasts 9 ft ceilings and includes a junior master suite (queen bed) with private bath and access to the front deck. Two additional bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bath (1 bedroom with 2 twins and a bunk room with 3 twin beds). To the rear of the first floor sits the laundry room and a family room that overlooks the pool and cabana area. The family room has a new pull-out couch with comfy gel memory foam mattress and a deck to enjoy the backyard view.
Located on the second floor is the gem of the home, a huge light filled living room with gas fireplace, multiple windows, 2 sliding doors and cathedral ceilings. The kitchen will be sure to impress with a 250 bottle subzero wine fridge, wolf range, wolf double wall oven, and french door subzero refrigerator. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need. Large center marble island and a separate dining space comfortably seats the whole family. Off the living room is a fiberglass deck that allows for partial sun and partial shade suitable to your preference. Great views of the bay and seating for 8 with a grill perfect for evening meals. Right beyond the kitchen sits the pantry and powder room. To the rear of the second floor is the large master bedroom (king bed) equipped with ensuite bath, walk in closet and private fiberglass deck great for relaxing and viewing the backyard pool.
The third floor is completely dedicated to the 2nd master bedroom (king bed) with large private bath and walk in closet.
Your private fenced in backyard includes a heated pool with a cabana and plenty of seating. The cabana is equipped with a beverage center (fridge and sink), plenty of storage space and TV with electric roll down shutter. The backyard vacation oasis includes an outside shower, underground sprinklers and landscape lighting. There are several places to lounge outside with multiple seating areas by the pool and on the 4 decks.
In total there are 8 TVs located in all 5 bedrooms, the family room, living room and outside cabana. The family room TV includes a gaming center (Wii U) ideal for kids. The home is equipped with 3 adult beach bikes, 1 child bike, 6 beach chairs, 1 umbrella, 1 beach caddy and plenty of beach towels. Your vacation in Avalon awaits! **In-season 7 night minimum; off-season 3 night minimum. Pool is open May 1st - mid Sept (heated Memorial - Labor Day). Linens are not provided but alternate arrangements can be made.

We had the most fabulous experience staying in the Maroulis Beach House over the weekend. Michelle, the property owner, was generously accommodating and responsive. The house is GORGEOUS, well-appointed, and has so many different spots to hang out. With lots of beverage fridges, a pool cabana with bar, lounge chairs, decks, comfortable furniture and abundance of bathrooms/bedrooms we couldn't have asked for a better place for girls' trip! We had a Shore Chef come in the first night to make our dinner and he was so appreciative of the top of the line WOLF stove and double oven and the beautiful marble counters and large kitchen sink. The location to town was perfect. Plus there were views of the bay from the windows, and it was a quick walk to the beach. We even used a bike. THANK YOU THANK YOU! We'll be back!

Had another great Thanksgiving weekend stay at Michelle's house. It was as beautiful as we remembered and Michelle was as responsive & helpful as usual. Would definitely return again. A++++

Anyone staying here for a weeklong vacation is spending 5 digit$ and deserves an unbiased review. I was able to discern from the guest book that mostly/only friends of the family had stayed there prior to my family (12 guests ages 5-12 and 35-65) coming from across the country for 7 days after finding the property on Vrbo. There are pros and cons. The pros include location (being located in Avalon). The kitchen had everything we needed. The place was clean and spacious. It is well decorated. One of the best things was using their umbrella and chairs for the beach. I thought it was a pro that the owners are involved in property management but turned out not so great (more on this in the cons). The home came with fishing poles to use and bikes, although in variable conditions. The cons include having to bring our own bed sheets and linens. We had to hire a local service to provide sheets which required more expenses and more work to set up, and to return the sheets. I’ve never had to bring my own sheets to a vacation home rental but this was required to accommodate the owners and their cleaning crew. The electricity was short circuiting in the 3rd floor master bedroom multiple times per day which was a huge nuisance because the circuit breaker is on the first floor. The beach is too far to walk for young ones and even older kids in the summer heat. Easy enough to drive down and park, though. Speaking of walking be prepared to walk a LOT of steps, even the kitchen requires walking two sets of stairs to access. Lastly what put a dark cloud over the stay was the last 24 hours through check out. My parents, siblings and I spent the final day of our vacation organizing the place, doing dishes, cleaning and doing laundry (bath towels and beach towels) and taking excess trash to the local dump. We aren’t professional maids, but we are all homeowners and parents and we have vacationed together in rental homes dozens of times. Within 25 minutes of check out, the owner sent me a nasty message berating me and my family for what she perceived was us disrespecting the home. No questions, no conversation, just berating and literal attempts to shame us. Needless to say I have never experienced this. I hope the owners learn how to communicate better and establish more realistic expectations for guests, otherwise they should only rent to their friends or small parties for short durations.
