I stayed here after my Kilimanjaro summit before my early morning flight to Zanzibar. The room was absolutely HUGE. the garden was stunning with so many turkey, geese, rabbit, chicken etc. I loved it so much :) The room was massive! I was shocked!!! There was an onsite shop also where you could buy beers / anything else you want there was so much and sit in the garden with. Honestly i wish i could have stayed longer hahaha, but perfect for anyone after a hike / before a flight!

A major advantage is its location close to Kilimanjaro Airport, which is perfect for early flights or late arrivals. It’s also very convenient that the reception is open 24 hours a day. The airport taxi transfer costs only $15, which is very reasonable and makes traveling even easier. We also used this hotel as a base for our safari pickup the next day, which worked out perfectly. An extra convenient service was that we were able to leave a suitcase behind that we didn’t need for the safari, which made traveling much easier. Overall, a very practical and hassle-free choice for a short stay or stopover.

The hotel is a bit outdated and could use some renovation in places, but this is more than compensated by the incredibly friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast was great. Chefs and food service was winderful. Outdoor areas were delightful.

We love Panone, but it has gone down a little since last year. In 2025 the manager was very attentive and made it her job to be sure we had everything we needed. In 2025, we had to request some of the basics, like kettle, cups, towels, etc. Showers were not hot. After 30 hours flying, a hot shower us much appreciated.
