This is one lakefront home you aren't going to want to miss: no matter the season! Elegantly designed and comfortably furnished, Hunny Home comes with all your favorite vacation amenities. Boasting a premier lakefront location, this home delights with a sprawling level lot, dazzling lakefront views, a private dock, and a convenient location just across the street from Wisp Resort. Whether you are laughing with friends in the outdoor hot tub, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, or reading a book in the sun room, you're sure to find an endless array of ways to spend the day. This home is a spacious duplex, with one neighboring property. All amenities listed are for your private use.
Location Highlights: While this home is a fabulous find every day of the year, you are definitely going to want to snag this home for your fourth of July stay. With fireworks shooting off at the base of Wisp Resort, Hunny Home is perfectly positioned to enjoy the show! The entrance to the base of Wisp Resort is less than a minutes drive away, just down Marsh Hill Road, making this home a perfect haven for your winter ski vacation! In our less snowy months, Wisp Resort can also be enjoyed for ropes courses, an outdoor mountain coaster, and other thrilling outdoor amenities. Wisp's Fantasy Valley golf course is located right near the base of Wisp Resort, while their Lodestone golf course is going to be a quick five minute drive up the mountain. The Shop N' Save grocery store is also less than five minutes from the home, as well as the popular Mountain State Brewing Company for local craft beers and amazing wood-fire oven pizzas.
Sleeping Arrangements: 3 kings beds in private rooms, 1 queen bed and 1 queen sleeper sofa that share a bedroom, and then there is a bedroom with a duo-bunk, which has a twin bed at the top and a full bed at the bottom.
* Winter Advisory: Deep Creek is a mountainous region that experiences more snowfall and ice than you may be used to. Many roads and driveways can be steep. 4WD/AWD vehicles are advised in the winter months. *
Gym/ Pool Access: This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home s full occupancy. Dog-Friendly Notice: Maximum of two dogs per reservation. A $175/non-refundable fee will be added for each dog. Dogs should be well-behaved, trained, and friendly; dogs with a history of aggression or destruction are not permitted. In order to comply with many of our home's rental insurance policies, breeds listed as most aggressive are banned for all rentals, regardless of individual training and temperament. If you are planning to bring a dog, please reach out to us upon booking to discuss your dogs breed to get final approval from our staff.

It is a duplex, but that actually is a plus with the friendly short term neighbors we experienced. Beautiful property with outstanding lake access as described.

Home with spacious yet cozy. The three levels were nice and the kids loved the pool table, hot tub, and how close we were to the mountain. Each room had a king size bed so it felt like everyone had their own primary suite. Will definitely come back!

I missed the caption under photo 1 of 47, which is the ONLY place where it is mentioned in the listing, that this rental is a DUPLEX. Had to double back to the listing to figure out where I could have missed that information! There was no privacy in the outdoor spaces.
Had I known it was a duplex, with no property boundaries, balconies and decks right next to each other and yes, neighbors were outside playing music, playing with their dogs, jumping on their trampoline...I would not have rented. Could be my mistake, but to anyone who thinks this is a big property because of pictures... beware.
Also, is providing hand soap in the bathrooms and more than ONE garbage bag to guests, too much to ask?
Otherwise, the home matched the photos and was nice enough for a family trip. I would recommend adding more duplex information and perhaps some additional soap/trashbags for the price.
