It is a bright and airy ground floor apartment, with parking located on-site, and self check-in with a keypad. There is a king bed and queen bed, both very comfortable!

The seemingly warehouse space turned VRBO is fitting for the downtown Asheville vibe. Exceptionally spacious and clean with all the necessary accommodations. Very convenient to the downtown shops and restaurants, all with in hilly walking distance. It is located in a narrow alley way, as the name states, challenging the entrance and exit with a vehicle. Would definitely stay again.

Everything was impeccable. The only criticism is that the parking situation is tricky - getting out of the alley is very difficult. A backup camera in your vehicle and/or someone to help you back out is necessary. Thank you.

This location is a perfect walkable distance from shops, restaurants, and bars in downtown Asheville. The apartment is cool (literally with its concrete flooring, as well as figuratively). The king bed was nicely tucked behind a partition/closet structure, and was cozy… but there was something about the queen bed that was CRAZY comfortable. We wish we had a chance to stay longer!

I love staying in Chicken Alley. This is a great studio in an ideal location in downtown Asheville. We couldn't have asked for a better overnight trip to celebrate the wife's birthday in Asheville. The host was very fast responding to us, which was helpful when we had some issues with the lock on the door. Thanks for a great time!

First time VRBO user and very glad we did it! Great location and an extremely clean apartment. There was ample room and amenities for our three night stay. Given the type of residence and location we weren't sure about what to expect, but it was fresh and airy and open. The plants in the front of the apartment confirmed the natural lighting. Our kind host was easily reachable if we needed anything. Parking was a bit tricky but since the location was so accessible to the downtown, we barely needed to move our car. The only minor issue (which in no way is a knock on the place) is that the shower pressure was a bit light but we're used to having stronger pressure at home so not a big deal in the least. We will be coming back to Asheville and would love to stay in this apartment again. Highly recommended!

You can’t miss with this open space apartment located in Chicken Alley. Perfect location with ease of walk to everything downtown Asheville has to offer. Apartment was clean and well laid out for a friend group or family looking to explore Asheville. Additional bonus of parking (one car) right outside of the apartment. The alley and space are tight but we were able to fit our Suburban. Would stay here again and would recommend for anyone looking to visit Asheville.

Great location (although Uber and taxis always seemed to get the next lane over, Carolina Lane, instead of Chicken Alley). Close to cafes, restaurants, coffee, etc, and an easy walk to several parts of downtown Asheville. Spacious and nicely decorated with lots of plants. The bed is comfortable, although the sofa isn't (it's seen better days and stood out). Plenty of shelf and closet space, and the kitchen had decent supplies, at least as far as the basics. Very quiet most of the time, but when people are in the alley, you hear them quite clearly. If you're a light sleeper, ear plugs are recommended. Communication from the hosts was prompt and thorough, and check-in and check-out were easy.

I assumed they used a panoramic camera. Nope. The kitchen counter is really that long. Place was overall larger than I thought it would be. It was extremely clean. Back bed and pillows were very comfortable (and I am picky). Didn't use the kitchen except for coffee, plates, and fridge. I recommend stopping on the way to get anything you need if you do not want to move the car again. We grabbed some waters as needed nearby but expect to pay a high price. Parking was interesting for someone who is terrible at parallel parking. Just had hubs get out when leaving to guide me through my 10 point maneuver and backing out onto the main street before hopping in. But everything we needed was in walking distance. We only drove when we went to Biltmore. It was very close to walk to the Wortham Center (our main purpose) and the Woolworth Mall as well as everything downtown. Alley was much quieter than I expected. There is an obviously popular bar across the street, but you couldn't hear the people or music inside. 3 decades ago, we would have checked it out. Had a problem locking the door. Austin replied within minutes (hold any number down until clicks). Would definitely stay here again. Fun, clean, and convenient! Only recommendation would be to add a more comfy couch for two retirees to stretch out on while watching TV.

This place was in the absolute perfect location if you plan on doing a lot downtown. The parking is a little tough if you have a larger suv so just be prepared for that. This house was great for two couples to visit Asheville for the weekend. There were no “rooms” per se but the two beds are separated by a partition which was good for us. Everything was clean and the hosts were super helpful when we were struggling to lock the door. The location couldn’t have been better, we could walk to so many shops, restaurants, and bars. The only downside is that there’s only 1 parking spot, but thankfully we found a lot nearby that wasn’t too expensive so it was not really a problem. If I ever go to Asheville again I will definitely stay here!

This was a great location to explore Asheville. Easy to walk anywhere downtown and hop on the highway to see local sites. Parking was easy (right outside the door), host had great communication, and place was spacious for our group. Appreciated the nice kitchen, was great for cooking meals, and bathroom and linens were well stocked.

The nature of the alley and type of property means there will likely be noise overnight but it isn't too bad, especially if you come in expecting to make that trade off for the location. My family (couple, toddler+baby, and in-laws) certainly aren't the ideal demographic for this property but would stay again based on friendly hosts, great location, and comfortable beds.

The apartment was clean and more than spacious enough for just the two of us, the beds were very comfy and the wifi signal was strong. In spite of the downtown location we were never disturbed by any noise or traffic, and the neighbors were all very quiet during our stay. The location just couldn’t be better. We only needed our rental car when we were headed for some hiking outside of Asheville, otherwise literally everything we needed was within walking distance. It wasn’t an issue for us, but maybe worth knowing that there isn’t any real privacy between the sleeping spaces - it’s basically a studio apt with a partial room divider between the beds. There’s only one parking spot available, right in front of the apt, but getting out of the alley is very tricky as it’s a tight space and you can’t always pull forward if there’s another vehicle in the alley. Backing out is treacherous as there’s a building blocking your view of oncoming traffic. I’m glad we didn’t need to drive much, as that situation would have gotten old if we had to do it several times a day. If you have more than one vehicle there’s a parking garage just 400 feet away. We loved this space and would definitely stay again while in Asheville.
