About this house rental
Enjoy over 200 feet of lakefront on beautiful Jackson Lake in this newly renovated 3 bedroom and 2 bath house - plus a day bed with trundle in sunroom attached to third bedroom -- on about 1 acre. All three bedrooms and sunroom feature lake views. (Master bedroom has king bed; other two bedrooms have queen beds; sun room has two twin beds.) Expansive deck with plenty of seating and a gas grill. Big yard with plenty of shade trees, two hammocks, a firepit, and a dock. Pet-friendly. 2 adult & 2 youth kayaks and 2 paddleboards. 1 flat screen TV. Wifi. Non-smoking home. Hour to Atlanta. About 20 min to Covington. (30 day minimum rentals only)
The space
Here's what we think is special about our home: you enjoy a newly renovated home. But, perhaps more importantly, you can see the lake from EVERY room (OK, except the bathrooms and laundry room).
Here's what we think is special our property: being on a peninsula and having 200-feet of frontage means you get this great view of the lake. And the land across from us is undeveloped so it's not unusual to see deer, heron and other wildlife.
The location
Jackson Lake is a nearly 5,000 acre lake with 135 miles of shoreline. Our home is in between two "no-wake" zones so it is relatively quiet. It's near Bear Creek Marina where you can launch your own boat. In the summer, the marina offers food, drinks and music on the patio on the weekend.
We love that we are only about 20-25 minutes to many restaurants, shops and attractions. After a day lazing around the lake, you are close to plenty of different places to eat and places to explore. Whether you love exploring history, seeking outdoor adventures, or visiting TV and movie filming locations...there is so much to do around here.

We had a great, relaxing weekend at this lake front property. Pictures were very accurate. Owners were very prompt in responding to all messages and were very accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet. A little noisy on the lake during the holiday weekend, but that is to be expected. Nice to have a restaurant near by.
For other renters, if you don't know the area, you may not know the grocery shopping is not very close....I would recommend stopping on your way into the rental to pick up your groceries. Also, the day bed area is a lovely room and while we did not use it, I can see that it would be great for naps, kids or a quiet place to just read, chill out. It is only accessible through one of the secondary bedrooms and the deck so if you are using it over overnight sleeping, plan to walk through another room with potentially sleeping friends/family or around the outside on the deck through the living room. It was not an issue for us, but something I thought other renters should be aware of.
We would definitely rent this VRBO again!!

Beautiful property and attentive hosts. This is our second year to rent this lovely lake house. Kris made sure we had everything we needed and checked in when there was an unexpected storm to make sure all was well. Highly recommend this property.

We had a great time at Kris and Ross’ lake house. They have thought of so many details to ensure you are comfortable. The house was clean, nicely decorated, and we enjoyed using the kayaks and paddleboards to explore the lake. Kris was very responsive and we could not have been happier. We even got to enjoy a few fireworks shows from the dock for 4th of July. It’s a great spot to enjoy a relaxing lake getaway.

This is a beautiful, well updated home on a large lot with plenty of space outside and inside. Kris was an amazing host and has truly thought of everything! There were water rafts, fishing poles, kids toys, fire wood, roasting sticks, kayaks, 2 hammocks, paddle boards, bean bag toss boards, and life jackets available outside and inside was just as well stocked! The kitchen had plenty of dish soap and garbage bags, foil and plastic wrap, napkins, paper towels, cleaning sprays, basic spices and oil for cooking, all the pots and pans you’d ever need, and very clean! The laundry room had laundry soap and softener available for use, and we loved the sofa coverings so that we didn’t worry about our fur babies making paw prints on the furniture. Kris was very responsive to my questions and provided a great list of boat rental options in the area to help us secure a booking before we arrived as well. The property is very close to Bear Creek Marina/Restaurant so it was fun for my boys to see lots of boat traffic to and from the restaurant on the weekend. We caught enough fish off the dock to keep everyone entertained and enjoyed a fire each night as well. The setup of the bedrooms worked perfectly for us with two twin beds in the sunroom for our 2 boys (with darkening shades!) next to our bedroom and the master and another bedroom available for our family members. Overall this was an excellent, well stocked vacation rental from an amazing host. Thank you Kris!
