Exceptional and beautiful Hotel. Totally different from the usual resort scheme. Amenities are well suited for an older no nonsense client that loves well thought through charm and sophistication. Gardens are lush and beautiful, rooms are perfectly outfitted, scenery is perfection and the restaurants are exquisite. You definitely get a European vibe unlike what you get in the states. Management is very personable and very present. Staff goes out of their way to ensure you are enjoying as much as you possibly can. Huge nod to Carlos the bartender down by the beach and the restaurants are fabulous. Can’t say enough great things about it. Can’t wait to return.

A real find - a series of pretty houses nestled in the hillside. Tranquil with lovely views of the sea. Andrea and Rupert provide an exceptionally warm welcome. Lots of homely touches in the rooms and (never before experienced) a heated loo seat!

Well the cockerel waking me up at 6am was a bit brutal, but I grew to love him too!

The breakfast was good and the location was nice. They need to make sure the chair cushions are dry after it rains. Got a wet bottom a few times.

I requested that the broken handle (totally missing) on the sliding screen door to our balcony be fixed the first day because it was very hard to open. (Had to push it up with your feet to slide it) I was told that maintenance would be right on it. We were there for 2 weeks and it never got done. Also the lamp shade by the bed was torn and missing pieces. Finally the parking was an absolute nightmare. There definitely are not enough parking spaces for guests, and staff vehicles and equipment take up some of the spaces. The narrow driveway and tall curb stones presented a real obstacle. Many were broken from vehicles driving over them trying to park or get by. We often had to back all the way down the steep driveway and park across the street from the hotel after finding no spaces available near our room. The grounds were a bit rundown with exposed pipes and electrical outlets in many places.
