The vacation home is located in a quiet area, yet right in the center of Osteel in the Brookmerland joint municipality, about 15 km before Norddeich and 13 km east of Greetsiel. Its proximity to the coast offers up to 3 guests peace and relaxation in a 65-square-meter space featuring 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen-living room, and a garden area—as well as a starting point for wonderful excursions along the East Frisian coast.
The bike paths are well-marked all the way to the dikes or inland. You can go hiking with a mudflat guide in the Wadden Sea National Park at the coastal resorts of Norddeich or Neßmersiel, or even out to the islands. A pilgrimage trail—ScholaDei—runs very close to the vacation home.
Nearby attractions include, for example, the Otto Tower, which played a major role in a film by Otto Waalkes, and the fishing village of Greetsiel; the seal breeding station and the Waloseum in Norddeich; and the “Ewiges Meer” raised bog in Eversmeer near Westerholt.
There is a discount grocery store and a tourist information office about 3 km away, in the town of Marienhafe.
The cities of Norden, Aurich, and Emden are great for extended shopping trips or dining out and can also be reached by bus.
