TIME Onyx Hotel Apartments

I stayed here for one night and it was one of the worst expereince I faced in Dubai. To start off the corridors had an strange smell that, as I entered the room and inspected I found out marks on the bedsheets. I called immediately to get it changed and the staff came in to change. Another problem is that the AC wouldn’t go below 21 C. I could set it to 18 but room temperature wouldn’t go below 21 which was uncomfortable for me. Another thing I noticed that the washroom wasn’t cleaned properly as you can see in my pictures. The bathtub drain wasn’t working properly as if i take a 5 min shower the water would stay there for next 15 minutes. I requested to change the room and the next room i was taken too even had cockroach in that. I immediately went back to the room I was assigned and asked them to clean the whole bathroom again. All this took 3 hours to sort and this is not what I should be experiencing when I paid in full advance. I really don’t think this deserves a 4 star hotel because I have never expereinced such issues before. The staff were apologetic but the damage was already done.

Water is cold. The hallway speakers play a song that is very loud. Rain water got inside.

All the rooms were painted fresh, they had all cooking utensils, pots and pan. A washer dryer combined which was great.

Mold everywhere. Black mold on the ceiling in the apartment lobby walkway. The smell of mold from all cabinets, utensils made me sick. The most disgusting bedding, Worn out completely, it has developed fuzz on it. Had to get myself a new bedding from a nearby store to sleep on.

Excellent place to stay. Staff was very corporation especially mustafa. He really helped me with my luggage. Thank you mustafa.
