My vacation rental, MARIA-WIES, is located in the heart of Schönau, in a central, sunny, yet quiet setting. From the south-facing balcony, you’ll enjoy a wonderful view of meadows, forests, and the mountains. In just a five-minute walk, you’ll reach the center of Schönau, where you’ll find the tourist information office (Haus des Gastes), the church, shopping, restaurants, the graduation tower, and the Kneipp facility. The bus stops and the bakery (also open on Sundays and offering delivery service) are a five- to ten-minute walk away. The picturesque Königssee and the new Jennerbahn are about 2.5 km away. The Jenner is a very popular hiking destination in the summer. Even in winter, over 100 km of cleared hiking trails are available for wonderful walks, and the cross-country ski trail is just a five- to ten-minute walk away. You can set out on many hikes and bike rides right from the house—we’d be happy to give you some tips. We provide our guests with free Wi-Fi and a parking space.
