Comfortable stay

The apartment was very comfortable and clean and the hosts were responsive to questions etc. the location was good if you have a car as you are only a short drive to Middelburg and surrounds. There was a well stocked kitchen and a nice dining/ lounge area but it could be made clearer when booking that these are shared with other people.

Location was close to the sea.

We booked the unit by looking at the images. But the unit we got was entirely different. No towels were provided. The unit has no nice view. It is surrounded by another unit at the front.

First of all : super nice location , lots of nature around ,quiet , everthing is near by foot or " fietje " ;) . Absolutely dog friendly - and when my dog is happy i am happy . I would come again !

Poor night sleep due to poor sound isolation between rooms.

Poor isolation. You can hear everything that happens next room (even footsteps..). That is not good for good night sleep.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts

The first night we had a duplex room with 2 beds on the first floor and 2 on the groundfloor. Unfortunately the neighbours next door were very noisy, chatting on the terrace and in their room until nearly midnight. The door in between was so thin, we could hear everything. I slept very badly. The next morning i contacted the owner and asked to either be moved to a quieter place or have my money back. Within a few minutes we were offered a comfortable and quiet apartment a few steps away. The owner was apologetic and made sure the transfer went smoothly. The next morning i asked whether i could keep the apartment a little longer for my sister’s visit and because it was raining: there was no issue, the owners were very flexible and we were allowed to picnic under a covered terrace. Finally on Sunday morning we had the option for EUR 12,50 per person to have an amazing breakfast basket, which I would highly recommend to anyone! (See picture). All in all, a great experience and a stay at a place with very friendly and caring owners! Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome!! ps: My dog could also come for EUR 5/day, which was very nice!

Because all the duplexes have a terrace, it would be good to have a rule limiting the use of terraces to 10PM for example so others can sleep and until the doors are made thicker, make sure you don’t have neighbours next door or very quiet ones!

Voor ons goed, echter geen gebruik doorgang zolder jammer! Verder dan ons gezin waren er nu ook geen andere gasten.

Ligging en omgeving

Het feit dat we hetzelfde huis hadden geboekt als vorig jaar! Kinderen konden boven slapen en chillen, doordat ze een open ruimte hadden en naar elkaar konden overlopen. Echter dit jaar doorgang gesloten naar kamers, ook na vraag was het niet mogelijk. ZO JAMMER!

Ein paar richtig tolle Tage gehabt, das Haus hat erheblich dazu beigetragen!

Könnte ich, würde ich das Haus mit Garten einpacken und mitnehmen! Sehr schön und stimmig im Ambiente.

Meckern auf hohem Niveau:-) Aber Kochutensilien könnten erweitert werden und Gläser wegen Korrosion erneuert. Das Keramikgeschirr ist wiederum mega hübsch.

Heerlijk weekend gehad!

We zijn met onze paarden een weekend geweest. De paarden hadden heerlijke ruime paddocks en werden goed verzorgd. Onze eigen lodges waren ruim en zeer schoon.

Het huis viel veel beter mee dan verwacht, we waren positief verrast. Ook de eigenaars waren heel behulpzaam en easy going. Instant vakantiegevoel en een toplocatie. Dichtbij het strand en dichtbij Zoutelande.
