About this house rental
Our vacation home on the Alte Hasel is a nature-oriented property—modernized in 2021/2022—that accommodates up to 12 people, nestled in the heart of the Vogelsberg volcanic region in Hesse. Set on a 3,000-square-meter lot, the detached house is surrounded by tall trees, a large pond, and the Alte Hasel stream.
The house is divided into two sections: the main residence with 4 bedrooms and the guest apartment with 2 sleeping areas. It is always rented out in its entirety, so the entire property is available for your use. The main and guest apartments are physically separated, with the living room and kitchen located exclusively in the main apartment. The bedrooms and bathrooms/toilets are arranged as follows:
Main residence:
First floor: 1 bedroom with a double bed and private bathroom + sleeper sofa in the living room + guest toilet
First floor: 1 bedroom with a bunk bed + 1 bedroom with a double bed + bathroom
Top floor: 1 bedroom with a double bed and en suite bathroom
Annex (for 9 or more guests):
First floor: 1 open-concept sleeping area with a double bed + guest restroom
First floor: 1 bedroom with a single bed + bathroom
Whether families, groups of friends, or coworkers—everyone is welcome here! Because the bathrooms and bedrooms are spread across different floors, the vacation home is also ideal for multiple families or groups of friends who want to vacation together but value having their own private spaces. A travel crib for children can be provided upon request
The natural garden invites you to relax. Amid tall trees, a 310-square-meter pond with a wooden dock, and plenty of open meadow space for playing, there’s something for everyone, young and old alike. The property is fenced on three sides and bordered by a stream on the fourth, so children can run around freely. However, only children who can swim should be allowed to play in the garden unsupervised. An open fire pit can be used for barbecuing.
The Vogelsberg volcanic region offers numerous opportunities for an active or completely relaxing vacation in nature. Many hiking trails lead right past our vacation home, such as the Volcano Hiking Trail or the Way of St. James. The same applies to the well-developed bike paths. The Hoherodskopf, a popular destination, is just under a 10-minute drive away. There, you’ll find attractions such as a summer toboggan run, ski lifts, sledding slopes, cross-country ski trails, a treetop walk, a climbing forest, and numerous dining options.
There is a restaurant within walking distance in the village of Lanzenhain. Additional restaurants, shopping options, and amenities are available in the village of Herbstein, just a few minutes away. There is also a thermal bath with a sauna there.
As mentioned above, the additional apartment is available for groups of 9 or more people and is included in the price. If you wish to use it with fewer guests, this is possible and incurs an additional cleaning fee of 50€.

Sehr modernes Ferienhaus. Wunderschöner Garten mit kleinem Teich und Wald direkt vor der Haustür.
Der Wald ist über einen kleinen Weg innerhalb von nichmal 5 Minuten erreicht.
Es wurde zwar behauptet die Straße würde etwas stören, dem ist aber nicht so (auch wenn es zu der Zeit eine Umleitung gab hat man davon kaum was mitbekommen)
Im Hochsommer müssen aber die Rollos runtergefahren werden, da der Garten südlich ausgerichtet ist, knallt die Sonne sonst sehr stark rein.
Aber mit geschlossenen war es auch bei über 35 Grad relativ Kühl im Haus.
(Es gibt zwei 'Straßen'Laternen im Garten die eine schöne Atmosphäre machen, bei den wir den Schalter aber erst später entdeckt haben, da dieser beim Schuppen ist)
Alles im allem ein sehr schönes Haus mit Toplage, immer wieder genre

Wir, ein Gruppe bestehend aus 6 Motorradfahren (+50), haben das Haus für eine Woche gemietet und waren rundum zufrieden!
Wir sind äußerst nett von der Verwalterin empfangen worden. Die Kommunikation und die Zahlungsabwicklung haben problemlos funktioniert.
Das Haus war sauber und hochwertig eingerichtet und entsprach genau der Beschreibung. Wir würden jederzeit das Objekt wieder mieten und freuen uns auf ein nächsten Mal!

Unser jährliches Familientreffen fand dieses Mal in ihrem wunderschönen, großzügigen Haus statt. Es hat an nichts gemangelt, alles war geschmackvoll ausgestattet, sauber und in bestem Zustand. Die Lage am Wald, die Großzügigkeit des Grundstücks mit Wiese, großem Teich und Grillplatz haben wir sehr genossen. Schön warˋs bei ihnen. Danke für das gelungene Familientreffen.

Kontakt zum Vermieter und der Dame vor Ort super freundlich und entgegen kommend.
Der Aufenthalt in diesem Haus war sehr angenehm, jede einzelne Individualität konnte gelebt werden. Wir kommen wieder.
