Enviroment around villa, pool, fireplace etc

The owner’s wife wrote to us after we checked out, saying it was unacceptable in what condition we left the villa. Which strikes me as absurd, because we left behind empty soft drink bottles and food items that were consumable, such as cheese, Nutella, and others. It seems absurd to me that if someone rents a villa, they automatically have to expect something like this—after all, that’s what the owner is paid for, and they pay for cleaning out of their rental income. Furthermore, we were offered free cleaning during our stay, but no one ever came—not even when we requested it. Our request, even when sent in writing via WhatsApp, was ignored in the chat and the conversation was diverted off-topic. I also had to follow up several times, even with an invoice. And upon arrival, we were charged an “ecological tax” of €2.20 per person per day, which added €121 to the cost of the trip—but, as usual, we only found out about this the day before we arrived. Strange behavior.

We had a good stay at this villa and would happily return. The space was comfortable and well kept, with a calm, home-like feel that made it easy to settle in and relax. It suited us well for a quieter kind of break. The setting is peaceful, and that was probably the highlight for us. It gave us the space to slow down and properly unwind without feeling rushed. If you are after somewhere restful and comfortable for a laid-back stay, this is worth considering.

The only two small things worth mentioning were ants in the kitchen (we know this is very common across the island), and a faint smell coming from the shower drain now and then, though it did not really affect our stay.

Die Finca ist von einem Wäldchen umgeben. Grundstückgrösse min. 200x150m. Super Sonnenschutz durch grosse Vordächer der Finca. Die gedeckte Outdoorküche ist mit Holzgrill und Wasserbecken ausgerüstet. Morgenessen im Schatten der Outdoorküche. Abendessen im Schatten der Finca mit Sicht auf den Pool (10x5m und 1-2 m tief)

Nichts zu bemängeln!
