Felmoor Park Northumberland Lodge with Hot Tub - 4

Fab hot tub, comfy beds, clean lodge, close proximity to some great days out i.e. Northumberland zoo, Alnwick gardens and lilidorei, local beaches, Warwick castle and so much more.

No shelter over hot tub, lodge could do with a little TLC and renovation. Outside space tired and worn decking needing replaced in places and could have been utilised more as well! Very basic inside but comfortable again TLC and renovation needed. Need to remove lakeside view from facilities etc. maybe site description just needs updated? Issues reported to owner, quick to answer and friendly but didn’t see anything get sorted during our stay.

Great location, lovely hot tub. The crazy horse saloon did really good food and all the staff were super friendly. Good water pressure in the shower. Crisps and wine on arrival were a lovely touch. We had a fantastic holiday here.

It could do with a bit of love. The outdoor cushions were stuffed into a wardrobe with a door that was off its hinges and they didn’t stay on the furniture very well. Toilet seat needs reattaching properly. The decking is a bit dodgy in places. We were only left with one tea towel and one bin bag and lacked other essentials (no cling film/tin foil, no oil, no coffee, very little sugar and one teabag). The cover on the duvet didn’t stay on. There were dirty socks in our wardrobe when we arrived too. I also felt that the impression of the site on booking.com was a bit misleading - eg set in acres of woodland, we thought there’d be decent dog walks on site but the woodland is actually very small and there’s only one other short path around the lake. We had to drive out to give the dog a decent walk.

Cleanliness of the lodge

Hot tub water not managed. Turned green after a day and couldn’t use due to the smell.

The location was nice. The double bed was comfortable. The hot tub was clean.

The Lodge is getting worn and needs some attention. It looks old next to most other lodges. The water pressure was so low on the days they were cleaning hot tubs that we couldn't even have a drink or shower.
