Hotel RK

We enjoyed our stay at RK Hotel Ghimbav. The receptionist was exceptionally kind and accommodating, even though we arrived after 10 PM. The hospitality made us feel welcome from the start. The breakfast was overall okay, offering a decent selection to start the day.

The only issue we encountered was the noisy AC cooling unit in our room. It was loud enough that we could only use it before sleeping, which was inconvenient. We’d recommend replacing it with a standard external unit to reduce noise and improve comfort for future guests.

English speaking friendly receptionist guy(missed his name) tried to help us the best he can. Location very close to the airport. He even recommended a good local restaurant near by to try. Hotel had a nice backyard and kids play area provided. Good breakfast. Overall I would say it was good stay though the room heat was not comfortable. And as I understand they are still under some renovation or improvisation of some facilites and all. So expect things might change in future hopefullly.

Our Day 1 was on a very hot summer day, and for some reason the air condition in the room seems to be used only for heating (thats what I understood from receptionist) .So alternate option we have is an standing air cooler type in one of the corner. But unfortuntely it is little noisy and was not enough to cool the room and it blows diagonally in one direction towards bed so the rest of the room is not getting enough fan air. So we all (including my kid) wokeup in the middle of the night due to warm and sweat. Though we were not sure the 1st floor is safe or not, we had to open the window and sleep on day 1 for a relief. Day 2 not sure overall the temperature was little more better and we had good sleep. Hotel dont have any restaurants to order for any dinner and online we had limited options to order as well. Toilet didnt have tissue paper holders and shower gels in small plastic packets is not convenient to tear using wet hands. (bottles are more convenient and eco friendly). Day 1 early checkin possibility was enquired via message but didnt get response on time in app. So we went from Airport to Hotel directly first to check if we can atleast drop the baggages in their locker room. But unfortunately the front door was locked when we arrived around 12:30 and when we called some receptionist lady informed they dont have any option to store the luggage or early checkin and asked us to come back later after 3pm. So we had to go to city with all luggages in car just to extend some more time. But later the same friendly guy explained the other lady was not English speaking so may be there was some confusion happened, in fact they had a luggage room at hotel ! :(
