Ajira Boutique Hotel is a perfectly clean and quiet place to spend a night or two while in transit in Hurghada. It’s located right inside the New Marina, a charming and recently-developed tourist strip of eateries and shops at marina from which many boat operators run. Guest have access to the Blue Beach Club with beach beds under umbrellas and an unheated pool, with drinks and food available at club prices. The water there smells of diesel. The shallows has mostly sand and dead corals, but some live heads and fish out near the buoys. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful to the extent they could do anything to assist with an almost comically flawed situation. The builidng is barely 20 years old but seems like a 1980s refurbish. The dated elevator runs on oil and takes 45 seconds to go to the second floor and actually open the door. Which is really irritating when the magnetic key card–apparently subject to erasure by your phone or looking at it funny–failed to work literally every time I went up to the room, requiring another round trip to the lobby to get it re-keyed. The saftey box was not functional at check in, requiring a battery change and reset. The pin holes on the outlets in the room are too wide to accomodate european plugs without them slipping out or just failing to make contact and thereby function. The shower handle pulled off, then did it again after it was reported fixed. The room had a promising small balcony, devoid of so much as a chair let alone a small table, that was, neverthess, of use to dry dive gear. Requests to get such a chair and small table, and a suitable plug adaptor, were met with warm determination to accomodate without actually manifesting any of those requests. Despite all this, the place was a good value for the location and high in entertainment value. Pro tip: there's another Ajira Hotel (same ownership) at the other end of the marina. Drivers may get confused.

The hotel is located at the start of the Marina waterfront, making our evening plans very easy. We also have access to a private beach and pool area, which were an absolute delight. The rooms are very clean and pleasing, overall the hotel is a no-brainer for a great stay in Hurghada.

First the location is convenient, the hotel is inside the marina near restaurants and shops but our stay wasn't so comfortable. They had problems with the ac system about charging the gas or some sort of that and it was hot inside our room. We told them and they said they'll fix it so we left to do our activities and when we came back it's still hot. They mentioned that they have fixed it it turned out after charging the gas they'll need 24hours or more until the ac works normally again. About the cleanliness we didn't expect much because this is Egypt but the bed sheet and blanket are very old, pilled and rough. I wasn't being to sleep properly due to that. And at night time the music is so loud you can't sleep until they stop playing the music because the soundproof is awful. So I wouldn't recommend this place.
