Our gem, the Alte Schmiede, is 350 years old and is a designated historic landmark in Bad Griesbach. We renovated it with great passion from 2016 to 2019. Immerse yourself in the extraordinary atmosphere of the old log cabin, contrasted with modern elements—a unique, one-of-a-kind place to stay. You’ll enjoy a charming vacation apartment with 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms featuring spacious showers. There is a cozy, fully equipped kitchen with a dining area. From the sun terrace, you’ll have a magnificent view of the Rottal valley and, when the weather permits, all the way to the mountains. The Alte Schmiede is just 2 minutes from the town square (bakery, butcher, restaurant...). Parking spaces are available, as well as storage for golf bags and bicycles. The highlight of the Alte Schmiede is the Mobiloil Bar in the historic vaulted cellar. Round out your evening in comfort! The lovingly executed renovation of the Alte Schmiede was honored with the 2019 Historic Preservation Medal from the Free State of Bavaria. The living area of the vacation apartment in the 350-year-old smithy measures 90 square meters. This charming apartment is located on the first floor. What makes it special are the two bedrooms with comfortable double beds and separate, newly renovated bathrooms. Both bathrooms are equipped with spacious, walk-in showers and toilets. The kitchen has everything you need and is furnished in a retro style. It also features a dining area. In the stairwell, you’ll find a cozy reading nook with two armchairs. A highlight of the Alte Schmiede is the historic cellar bar. Here, our guests can enjoy a drink or a cigar in style. The Alte Schmiede was lovingly restored 2016-2019 and awarded the 2019 Historic Preservation Medal by the Free State of Bavaria. Storage space for bicycles and golf bags is available free of charge. Parking spaces are also available for cars. Wi-Fi is, of course, available for free. Pets are allowed (for an additional fee of 10.00 EUR per pet per night).
