Casa Flor de Vida is an amazing deal combining all the comforts of a hotel with aspects of a hostal and an Airbnb. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and big. I actually had my own kitchen in addition to the shared kitchen. There is a small but tranquil garden and a nice shared covered courtyard that guests could also use. It is an amazing bargain and a clean, safe, and homey oasis.
A couple of minor bathroom related concerns. I nicer toilet seat (not cheap plastic) would be nice and there was a peculiarity with the shower which meant that it wouldn't stay on by itself until the hot water had run for about 30 seconds to expand the metal and allow the handle to stay up. No big deal esp. at the price.

I had a good stay at Casa Flor de Vida. I really appreciated the hot water in the shower. I didn't use the kitchen, but it seemed to be well-equipped and included fresh drinking water for guests. In the common space, the host included information about activities and tours to do in San Cristobal.
I feel that the host could have provided shower gel in the bathroom. The curtains for my room were a little see-through so when people were in the garden I felt I lacked some privacy.

Very beautiful house with a couple of rooms surrounding a nice courtyard. Purified water is provided on the kitchen. The host could not have been more helpful, even organised the tour for us for the cheapest price we found anywhere. Amazing value for money!

The owners are nice, the location is good -10min walk to the centre. The garden is nice, the kitchen is equipped for cooking .
The room is quite dark
Sometimes people talk in the garden till midnight, so it is difficult to sleep.
Sometimes smoking in the garden - which is smelly even when the window is closed.
You don't really have privacy there, it's a small place but it's nice to sit in the garden.
The owners are nice and available when you need something.
There is a cat there too, which is important to know If you are allergic.
