Sea View Sunset Hill Cottage La Casita

Good private house, attached to Mundo Nuevo lodge. We went there to pay for accommodation and use the pool prior to staying at the house. 10min walk down to house which was quite separate from lodge, which was good for our group.

Road was pretty rough, need to pay for 4wd taxi to lodge and house.

La ubicación increíble con una espléndidas vistas a la Sierra de Santa Marta y a la ciudad de Santa Marta. Decoración con gusto, tal y como se ve en las fotos.

Sólo se puede acceder con un coche 4x4. Si vas con un turismo, ten en cuenta que deberás contratar un taxi 4x4 o un moto taxi. Los precios que piden los considero exagerados, así como el precio del aparcamiento de tu turismo en el pueblo de Minca.

Fantastisch mooi huisje met prachtig uitzicht en zonsondergang! Ruim, goede muskietennetten en een zalige open douche. Ideaal als je tot rust wil komen in de natuur. Je kan genieten van de faciliteiten zoals het zwembad van Mundo Nuevo.

Vrij afgelegen, je hebt een 4x4 nodig om naar Minca te gaan. De hike naar boven naar Mundo Nuevo is ook vrij pittig.

The casita has excellent views, and the two rooms have their private bathroom and are separated by the kitchen. It can accommodate up to six people. The full kitchen allowed us to cook breakfast and dinner. Being part of the EcoHotel Mundo Nuevo and able to use their installations was a bonus. We spent one day at the hotel's pool, sipping in the views and the cocktails—quiet ambiance with a young adult crowd-and we enjoyed their yummy vegetarian lunch while there. Bonus: The food from the next-door restaurant was AMAZING. It's called Cumbre, inside Trekker Glamping (not vegetarian but has vegetarian offerings). Lots of birds, especially hummingbirds, visit the property during sunrise and sunset. Hugo greeted us and made himself available, and Diego was our wonderful driver up and down from the town of Minca and to Cascada Escondida El Jaguar (long trek but recommended). Bring bug repellent and insect bite cream. The beds all have mosquito nets, but still.

The rooms felt warmer than expected. More fans would help. Since the house has an open floor plan, I did not feel comfortable sleeping with the door open in case any nocturnal animals became curious about us.
