Village Peak 9 Sundown Run Condo: Ski In/Out

Room is locate in Peak 9 Inn (which should be explained to renters!) is very nice, with plenty of space and open-space nice kitchen . It is on the 4th floor with very beautiful view if the ski sloped and surrounding mountains. We really enjoyed the recreation center with excellent sauna and three jacuzzi - we are rather old and warming our bones and relaxing our muscles allowed us to ski 7 days without any breaks. We appreciated that after some hesitation the Summit Mountain Rentals offered us overnight parking near their office - only 10 mins walk from the Peak 9 Inn.

First and foremost there are two big problems. First. this is not by any standards a Ski In/Our location. It very near the Quicksilver 6-chair lift, but you have to walk there -NOT SKI OUT. During good snow season you can SKI-IN (this was the worst in 50 year snow and we use this option only once n=because it was worse than walking!). The Peak 9 Inn does not have ski room and you have to carry your equipment (skies and boots) to your room. By all standards this is not SKI IN/OUT and should not be advertised as that. We only booked this place because of sauna and ski in/out options. Second and most annoying was absence of parking provided with the booking and there was no overnight parking available nearby in the Breckenridge: we had to walk for 25 minutes to nearest paid overnight parking every evening to pay for ONE night parking (the only option available - no option to pay for multi-day parking). The Peak 9 Inn and the rental agency we booked from are sharing the same building and the same under-building car garage. But they are clearly in continuous unfriendly fight, because clerks at Peak 9 Inn were very unfriendly towards us because we booked the room (condo) though this agency, not directly from them. While they has available parking spots, they would not allow us to use it. This parking problem tuned into a real nightmare for us before the Summit Mountain Rentals agreed us to park our car their parking lot for duration of our stay - it was a huge relief and we greatly appreciated that they removed burden to waste a lot of time for every day waking 25 minutes to the nearest overnight parking, pay $35 and walk 25 minutes back. We understand that this is Vail company and Breckenridge town council turned out overnight parking into nightmare. This is why we probably will never return to Breckenridge for skying.

Location is good, but is not totally ski in ski out if you have to walk a ways with your skis.

The whole unit was outdated. The bedding looked and felt like it had been there for decades, the dishwasher was falling apart and didn't work, there are strange stains all over the carpet, including what looks like blood stains in the bathroom. Time for a new carpet! Basically, to pay $500+ a night the unit needs to be updated.
