The location is in a neighborhood I had never been to, which seemed more local and had several grocery stores and restaurants.

Check in and check out were quite hostile. Patrizia is really intense. She has attention to detail about what NOT to do. It didn’t feel very welcoming or nice. She checked in a few times via WhatsApp during our stay, but it felt like she was checking ON us, instead of trying to be helpful. She mentioned there was a bad experience with the guests before us, and they broke several things. It felt like we were being held accountable for their behavior. When we checked out, Patrizia became irate about us touching and possibly breaking the heater, which we did not do. She was so upset, I calmly told her to stop and waited for her to calm down before I walked away. It was like de-escalating a child. She texted me an apology later, acknowledging I had not done anything wrong, but it was such an awful experience being spoke to that way. No person, much less a host, should speak to a guest that way. Additionally, several items were broken or in poor working condition in the apartment. The washer was broken, as well as 2 of the 3 TVs. The stove levers weren’t marked, so the only way to know a burner was on and was getting hotter was to actually touch it 😬. And the bed mattresses desperately need to be replaced, as well as the squeaky beds. Lastly, we only received 1 towel each for a 3 night stay. That’s not enough for that length of time.
