About this house rental
Villa Del Sol is a lovely ground level cottage with a private pool as the focal point, enveloped by the home. Nestled into a garden-like setting with mature fruit trees and gardens offers natures lover's a relaxing, enjoyable vacation. The cottage is just behind the jungle line that separates the home from the beach. Enjoy the stroll along the beautiful lane leading to the clubhouse and beach. It's a true island getaway! Newly renovated and offer all the amenities you need for a home away from home. The spacious deck and beautiful backdrop make the pool area your go-to relaxation zone. Shaded trees to relax, and open sunny sky to work on your vacation tan. This beautiful, open, airy light home has high ceilings with powerful fans through-out, a large deck, air conditioning in bedrooms, large walk in showers, and the kitchen is fully equipped.
The clubhouse has a beach-side community pool as well, for guests only, a landmark restaurant and bar as well as the convenient dive shop. Guests have the best time with our awesome dive team! The beach's palapa dock is the best spot to dive into the warm sea and swim to the reefs for an awesome snorkel in pristine coral and abundant marine life, or pick a hammock and sway to the surf.
The Palmetto Bay community sits on 150 acres and provides 24-hour security, there is a fabulous palapa dock which is perfect to do yoga, enjoy morning coffee, or just swing in a hammock and relax while you listen to the surf. It's also a great starting point to swim out to the reefs, or swimming platform. The property is uniquely surrounded by a protected nature preservation and is home to many wild parrots, agouti, butterflies and more! There are many mature fruit bearing trees. They include; varieties of mango, papaya, coconut, cashew, banana, lime, pineapple, noni, almonds, soursop. Palmetto is just minutes from shopping, attractions and the signature Pete Dye golf course, Black Pearl.

This property is exactly as the description states. The grounds are gorgeous, the home is well equipped, and the private pool is a nice touch for families with kids. The flora and fauna are aplenty and the on site security definitely ensure your safety. Highly recommend!

Comfortable. Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Inside is clean and modern and comfortable. Outside deck and pool need work but useable. I would recomend and return. A car is required for groceries, excursions etc . A quiet area away from large tourist locations but has a bar restaurant on site. Lovely.

We were extremely happy with our stay in Palmetto Bay! Our rental house was great and just as described, the kids loved the pool. There was plenty of space for the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 kids) and the kitchen was stocked with ample dishes and cooking equipment. The restaurant on site was great too (The Cove) and had a nice variety on their menu, staff was super friendly.
The grounds are beautifully maintained. The beach is beautiful, but not necessarily ideal for swimming. There are SUP’s and sea kayaks to take out, however.
We took advantage of a guided tour one day, of which there were many to choose from, curated down to every detail by Stephanie.
Special shout-out to Sam at the dive shop, who took my husband and 10 year old son out fishing one morning- my son was ecstatic to come back with 3 tuna he caught- as well as took the whole family on two amazing snorkeling adventures, the highlight of our trip!
