Villa Maya de Cancun is a cozy, Mexican-style house with air conditioning (optional) in a quiet and central residential area of Cancun, directly adjacent to an eco-park. You can rent the entire house or split it into two independent vacation rentals, each accommodating 1–8 guests. It’s ideal for families or solo travelers who want to explore the beaches of Cancun or the Riviera Maya, or for adventure seekers who prefer to explore legendary Mayan ruins like Chichen Itza from a central location.
Villa Maya, 1st floor (41 m² living space) with rooftop terrace (28 m²): Master bedroom with a double bed, guest room with 2 single beds (185 cm x 85 cm) and a kitchenette, access to the rooftop terrace with a table and 4 chairs.
Villa Maya Ground Floor (78 m² living space) with a 26 m² garden: Kitchen, dining room, living room, downstairs bedroom, and one bedroom and one shower room each upstairs and downstairs.

Info: Hola Amigos! Before you rent the vacation home, I’d like to tell you a little bit about us, the property, and its location. I moved from Franconia to Cancun in 1993 and have been working at well-known 5-star hotels in Cancun’s Hotel Zone ever since. I designed my home, Villa Maya de Cancun, myself down to the last detail, and it took some time to furnish it with all the Mayan-Mexican furniture and decorations.

It's an amazing home and it was very well equipped. It's close to everything in Cancun! Amelia was very nice answering all of our questions. The communication with Matthias was also excellent! Home it's beautiful and definitely next time we go to Cancun this would be our home:-) we also met the owner Gemima which it's also a very nice lady.
Overall I give this place a 5 star. Thanks!!!!!

Our family of 6 enjoyed the property. It was safe quite and priced correctly. It could have some light bulbs replaced, AC on the main floor did not go below 26 degree C, some towels, and dish soap, but that was minor. Very clean and safe.

I stayed here for almost 3 weeks and also rented a car from Mattias. It was a great experience!! His employee, Amelia, picked us up from the airport and took us to the house where our rental car was. They were both very helpful, nice and professional. I stayed there with two young boys (2, 4). The drive to downtown was close which worked well for us as my boys went downtown everyday for preschool (mainly to practice the Spanish they're learning). The neighborhood is a typical Mexican neighborhood which worked well for us as we enjoy the cultural experience. We hope to return soon!

Safe location close to Walmart and small shopping mall. Our family would have been better off staying outside the city much closer to activities like cenotes, Tulum, Chichen Itza, snorkeling, and beach access in Playa Del Carmen. One night ran out of water so no showers, toilet, or anything. Most houses had cisterns on roof so assume it wasn't filled. Upstairs renters also did not have water until next day. Paid extra for air conditioning without realizing there are only two wall mounted space units in bedrooms, not whole house air conditioning. Only sheets on bed. No other covering.
