Balluta Hill House

Very good location near a nice beach, SPAR shop (24/7) and bus stops. The ferry terminal and a promenade with a rocky beach and a stunning view to Valetta about 15 minutes on foot. Room was quite comfortable for a few nights. Terrace on the top of the building with pleasant view to the see, perfect for eating a breakfast or relaxing. Late check-in possible with keys stored in the security box. Good contact with the owner.

The locks and keys to the rooms are very simple (commonly used on internal doors in apartments), so it is likely that every room can be opened with the same key, which can be a security risk if you want to leave valuables in the room.

I would not have booked this room if the listing had been accurate. The room is advertised as "Double Room with Terrace" and the photos strongly suggest that the terrace belongs to the room. In reality, this is not a private terrace at all. It is a shared rooftop terrace accessible to all guests, and the room's window opens directly onto this common area. This means other guests can sit, smoke, drink and talk right outside your window until late at night, leaving you with very little privacy or quiet. That is completely different from what the listing suggests. The room itself was acceptable, but the description and photos are misleading. If the listing clearly stated that the terrace is shared, I would never have booked this accommodation.
