Welcome to the Thesing Vacation Home—your retreat in idyllic Sögel!
Experience pure relaxation in our cozy Thesing Vacation Home, located in a quiet setting on the edge of the beautiful vacation home area in Sögel. Here, just a few steps from the impressive Baroque Clemenswerth Castle complex, a vacation awaits that perfectly combines the enjoyment of nature with relaxation.
Comfort Made Easy
With 70 square meters of space, our single-story vacation home accommodates up to 4 people. The comfortable amenities leave nothing to be desired:
• Two beautifully furnished bedrooms (1 double bed, 1 queen-size bed)
• A bright living room, ideal for relaxing evenings
• A fully equipped kitchen—perfect for cooking together
• A modern bathroom with shower/toilet and washing machine
And so you can feel completely at ease, we provide bed linens and towels free of charge.
Relax & Enjoy Nature
The spacious covered patio invites you to spend time with friends and family, no matter the weather. Sit back on comfortable patio furniture in our well-maintained garden and enjoy the tranquility of nature. Even your four-legged companions are warmly welcome—you’re welcome to bring up to two dogs!
Active Recreation—Discover the Hümmling
For active vacationers, Sögel is a true paradise. You can set out on hikes or bike rides right from the vacation home and explore the diverse landscape of the Hümmling. Whether through dense forests, across wide fields, or past historic landmarks—there’s plenty to discover here.
Especially convenient: Two bicycles are available free of charge so you can explore the area stress-free.

Whether you’re seeking peace and seclusion, exploring historic highlights like Clemenswerth Castle, or want to actively experience the region’s beauty—the Thesing Vacation Home is the ideal starting point. For our younger guests, we can provide a high chair upon request.

As guests in the Sögel vacation home area, you can enjoy a wide range of recreational activities in the town of Sögel (prices subject to change):
- At the “Fitness & Gesundheit Sögel” gym (approx. 1,600 m from the vacation home area) and Era-Gym Sögel (approx. 2,500 m from the vacation home area): free weight area, cardio equipment, strength training machines, and various classes / Day pass: 10.00 EUR per person, including water and mineral drinks
- Sauna area at the Hotel Clemenswerther Hof with two saunas (60°C and 90°C) / 1,500 meters from the vacation home area / Fee: 12.50 EUR per person per day, including water and tea / Please bring your own towels and, if needed, a bathrobe
- Indoor tennis court and outdoor tennis facilities at TV-Rot-Gold Sögel e. V. / approx. 1,600 m from the vacation home area / Fee per outdoor court per hour: 6.00 EUR / Indoor courts: price upon request
- Sögel Climbing Forest: 10% discount on the regular ticket price / approx. 500 m from the vacation home area
- Boules court, including balls / approx. 1,600 m from the vacation home area / Free to use
- Outdoor chess board with large pieces in the vacation home area / Free to use
The Sögel vacation home area will be expanded at the end of 2026. Noisy construction work will begin in November 2026 and end in March 2027. No construction work will take place between Christmas and New Year’s. Quiet hours in the Sögel vacation home area will be observed even during construction!
