The Property was in a great location, perfect for 3 night break to see Lyon

When we arrived at 4pm we couldnt check in until 5pm, we knew this but it would have been great to be able to leave luggage somewhere but this wasnt an option. There were no towels in the apartment but this was a mistake,and it was fixed asap and towels were brought to us that evening. The door to the Balcony was broken and it was not fixed while we were there The Balcony area was a good large size but the seating area had not been cleaned well and was grubby

Host was responsive to questions. Place was clean and spacious.

The location was great. We had stayed in this area before so we knew that it’s a great location to be near a lot of restaurant options, and only a 15-20 min walk to the popular shopping and sightseeing areas of Lyon including Old Town.

We were a group of 8 - 6 adults and 2 kids. The property listing was misleading in a few ways. First, we expected the entire apartment to be air conditioned. We knew July would likely be hot so we wanted to have an air conditioned apartment. The first floor kept cool with the AC unit but two of the bedrooms were upstairs in a loft like area and the AC did not reach upstairs. The only way to cool the rooms was with portable fans but you would need at least two fans in each room because it was so hot, and we only had two fans, so we were only able to use one bedroom upstairs. The two kids had to sleep with their parents in one of the bedrooms downstairs which wasn’t comfortable. Second, the listing said the unit had a washing machine but it did not and the property manager questioned why we thought a washing machine was included. I took screenshots of the listing and sent them to the booking.com. They let us borrow another unit’s washing machine but we only had access to it for 24 hours early in our stay - not our full stay which was 5 nights stand we had planned to wash clothes before the next leg of our trip. Next, the bathroom is dorm style. I could not tell from the listing that both showers and both toilets are in the same area so we felt like we were living in a dorm- carrying our toiletries and clothes from our bedrooms to shower or brush or teeth every morning and evening. We also only had one bathroom sink for 8 of us to share. Finally, the check in process was horrible. The property manager’s messages kept getting deleted in the app so I wasn’t getting their messages although they were trying to communicate. They use third party websites for messaging and registration so booking.com filters out those messages from their app. It took several messages back and forth with the property and with booking to finally figure things out, which led to a very frustrating 24 hours prior to checkin. I would not book with NocNoc ever again.
