Let’s break this down into its many wonderful parts: 1) My ferry from Athens got into Patmos port around 2AM. The owner graciously offered to stay up so she could greet me at the ferry terminal. 2) After she walked me to the apartment and explained everything, I found an extremely clean, comfortable, and inviting room waiting for me. I was exhausted and the place was spotless and so comfortable. 3) Location, location, location! The apartment is right in the heart of town. Could not have loved this aspect more! 4) The owner’s family also runs a Greek restaurant. I ate there more than once. In all fairness it was likely my favorite meal of my entire stay. Given the chance, you’ve got to try the stuffed vine leaves!! 5) I could go on, but suffice it to say that the host was extremely attentive, friendly, and gracious. I burned my hands terribly from some sun exposure, and she cut some aloe vera leaves for me to soothe the pain. Exceptional trip! Can’t wait to get back! 😍🇬🇷
