I liked it’s rustic charm … and it’s cheap. Travelling with a dog is, of course, utterly effortless — provided your idea of effortless involves chaos, fur, and the occasional existential crisis. So when I stumbled upon a place already delightfully “broken in,” I felt vastly reassured. After all, it’s hard to make something worse when it’s already achieved such a distinguished level of lived-in charm. And rest assured, despite three nights of canine companionship, I did not — to my eternal disappointment — manage to degrade it any further. However, I must admit the jacuzzi and the sauna are a rather spirited addition. One cannot help but imagine a… shall we say… different sort of clientele frequenting such facilities. The disco lights hovering above the jacuzzi suggested a “professional atmosphere” of a very particular industry. The magnificent aroma wafting from the mysterious oil dispenser did absolutely nothing to dispel this impression. But again — it’s cheap - sort of - however I'm certain that such places are a good muse for a blues singer/songwriter, which I am not. I must say that I absolutely adore the rating system booking,com has in place — those cheerful laughing smileys scattered about like confetti at a very confused wedding.
