About this house rental

Summary:

Indulge in a stay at The Monroe on Spring. An entirely-renovated, Historic Charleston manor circa 1885. No expense was spared in the restoration, intended to exude both rich history and modern extravagance. Just a brief stroll to the iconic King Street, you are truly in the heart of Downtown. Explore the picturesque streets, shop and dine to your heart’s content, and relax in the evenings on the sprawling Charleston porches.



The Space:

This is the entire lower level of a historic Charleston home! There are three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two kitchens. Plus, you'll find plenty of outdoor space to enjoy our beautiful weather or dine al fresco! The bed count is as follows:

We offer high speed Wifi and Smart TVs throughout. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions about the home!



Potential for Noise: Due to the home’s historic character and close proximity to all the city has to offer, some road and city noise may be heard. White-noise machines are provided in each unit for your comfort.

The Neighborhood:

The Elliotborough/Cannonborough district of downtown Charleston. With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston’s classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.



Getting Around:

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.



Other Things to Note:

Luggage storage offered Monday- Friday at our main office from 8:30am-5pm. On weekends we recommend utilizing Bounce Luggage storage. Please inquire once booking is complete for the address!

We loved staying at this historic home surrounded by other charming houses. It was well furnished, plenty of rooms and bathrooms for six women. Also a large kitchen with everything we needed. The location was perfect to walk easily to shopping and restaurants on King Street, and also to some recommended small neighborhood restaurants. I highly recommend it!

Great historical charm and renovations - From the front porch views to interior finishes, this place is fantastic. We were able to walk to close entertainment on King Street and enjoyed the location of this property.
