Charles Hope Canary Wharf South Quay

The one-bedroom apartment was great, and the view was probably the best part , it was much nicer than I expected. When I arrived, the cleaner had just finished, and the apartment was spotless. She was also really helpful and assisted me with getting into the apartment, as the app system wasn’t very intuitive. It was much more suite than expected too, which is often a concern when staying in apartment blocks. The sound does not travel at all in the building. There is a washing machine and dish washer which is a nice extra touch. Overall, it was a lovely stay and I would definitely stay again.

1. I didn’t give 10 stars due to a few small issues. The arrival process wasn’t seamless, as an app is required to access the apartment, which locks and unlocks the door. This requires Wi-Fi, but there is no signal upstairs. I was fortunate to arrive at the same time as another resident and was able to follow them in using their key fob. For future stays, I assume I would need to ask the concierge to let me up in the lift until I can access the key fob, which is left inside the apartment. 2. It would be great to have a bath mat provided, as the bath is very slippery when showering. 3. There didn’t appear to be a microwave, which was quite inconvenient. I also tried to use the mini oven, but it didn’t seem to work so I ended up using the stove. 4. There were some noticeable stains on the carpets. 5. Prior to arrival, I was asked to provide a photo of my passport to verify my ID. This felt unusual for an apartment booking and didn’t seem necessary. Hopefully these couple of comments are taken on board

It was presentable but not spotless, some areas of apartment were not cleaned properly, though all the important parts (bed, surfaces, etc) were perfectly clean

It was tidy but it wasn't a clean. Very dusty and even dirty in some areas. Hair on the bed and the dust caused me to cough and sneeze a lot.
