Porto River Sunset 7th

I absolutely loved the location and the small balcony of this apartment. Being so high up in one of Porto’s tallest buildings and enjoying one of the best views the city has to offer was simply amazing. I also really appreciated that the host provided basic cooking essentials that many other accommodations often overlook, such as oil, salt, and pepper. The apartment has a unique and charming layout, but it offers plenty of space and storage for travelers. Good water pressure is not always guaranteed in residential buildings in large cities, so I was pleasantly surprised. I especially enjoyed the large shower head! There is some construction work nearby during the day, but the apartment was very quiet at night, and I slept extremely well throughout my stay. A special thank you to the host for allowing me to check in a little earlier. As the apartment was vacant the night before, they kindly accommodated my request, and after traveling, being able to settle in and relax sooner was incredibly appreciated. Sometimes it's these small acts of kindness that make a stay memorable, and I was truly grateful for the flexibility. What I simply can’t get over is how beautiful the view was and how convenient the location proved to be. With grocery stores close by, easy access by car, and such a privileged position overlooking the city, this apartment was a fantastic place to stay.

On the other hand, there were a few things that I didn't enjoy quite as much. The key collection instructions felt a little confusing to me. It’s entirely possible that I misunderstood them, but I didn’t find the process particularly intuitive at first. Since this is a residential building and the apartment is located on one of the upper floors, there are two elevators available. During busier times of the day, however, you may have to wait a few minutes for one. Of course, the stairs are always an option, but it’s quite a climb! (Just a minor observation rather than a real complaint.) The mattress wasn’t really to my taste, as I found it a bit too soft and tended to sink toward the middle of the bed. That said, mattress comfort is always a very personal preference. The most noticeable drawback—and something mentioned in other reviews as well—is the noise from the bathroom ventilation system. It is indeed quite loud and only seems to become quieter late at night, although I’m not sure why. The good news is that once the bathroom door is closed, the noise is barely noticeable from the bed or living area, so it didn’t significantly affect my stay.
