location excellent, home is lovely

The cleaning - under couches/furtniture full of previous tenant rubbish from food to tags, base of toilet seats stained & dirty, noticeable when you have 2 males in the house, kitchen has no spatula, measuring cups & spoons, frypans are warped and don't sit flat on stove, window sills in front bedrooms full of bugs, no block out curtain in main bedroom. Small steps down and up as you walk into the home - dangerous need reflective striped tape on them we were all so wrapped in the view 3 stumbled, hubby ended up with black eye and 2 cut knees. The step down and back up to outside patio is also a long way down same precautions advised.

Spacious and fully equipped kitchen

I booked this accommodation a year ago for the Easter long weekend to celebrate my niece's birthday. It was a lovely house, unfortunately we arrived at the property UNCLEANED. This took the initial wow factor away from us as all we could see was an untidy place with dirty towels, linen and floor. It was a very unpleasant start to our long weekend, having driven 6hrs from Sydney with exhausted kids, the agent office was closed due to Public Holiday and the after hours number provided kept going to the voicemail which was extremely frustrating. Finally got hold of someone from the agent then had to wait for 20-30mins from the cleaners to arrive and then wait over an hour for the cleaning to be completed at 5:30pm. The agent, Harcourts Greater Port Macquarie, did not offer any sort of compensation for the inconvenience/stress caused to me and families. They blamed the cleaners for missing the cleaning schedule and took no accountability for the inconvenience caused to their clients.It was very disappointing and we will avoid any future bookings with this agent.
