Location
When i came to the room my bed was dirty, People were living in the hostel long time, the woman that was sleeping beyond me was super loud and screaming on me everytime i did a micro movement in my bed, after some time she jumped out of her bed and started beating on the metal sides of the bed. Sheets were dirty, bed uncomfortable, low protection from falling, almost was none, smelling super bad..

Really good location, friendly and helpful staff, you pay for what you get. Bunk bed dorm ideal for people who do not need luxury or are comfortable with lively environment. The common areas are pretty cool and the place is reasonably clean. Since this is a budget accommodation, keep in mind that some equipement might be worn or old and that you really do need to either pay extra for things such as towels or bring your own.
If you want luxury or privacy, the dorm is not the place.

It is indeed a nice hostel and it is located in the center of Trieste. The rooms are large and even there were 8 beds in it there was enough space to walk around and get your stuff from your storage place. My room had even a balcony - what was nice even if I could not used it because of the weather. This room had even a shower and a toilet in the room - but I preferred the open facilities in the lobby they were larger and more comfortable for me.
It's a good choice to stay in Trieste and specialy out of the main season
In most hostels I miss hangers and a warobe or hooks to air out your cloth. I had two hooks for my sleep place - what I think is not enough - it would be nice if there could be found another solution. Beside that I missed some chairs to sit - either for the room and for the balcony. And last point I found it complicated with the registration for the wifi - you have to add a different provider - its like in the airport if you use the free wifi over there.

Location is good
No ventilation inside rooms and hard to open the balcony door due to the cold outside… I wouldn’t come back there again and wouldn’t recommended it for me individuals

The location is excellent, close to everything, and the staff were very friendly. We loved the cozy bar and the fact that they serve coffee until the evening.
There was an event at the bar on Friday night, so it was a bit noisier, but nothing that affected our sleep.

The location is unbeatable, in the very heart of Trieste.
Facilities are modern and everything was clean.
More table space and plugs in the room would have been nice.

The place was okay. It was clean and conducive.
There were mosquitoes, which made it uncomfortable for me

Excellent location close to the city centre and train station, reasonable price for a short stay
1) A place is absolutely uncomfortable for meals. When you book a hostel you expect there would be some kitchen where you could warm up your food from supermarket, drink tea. When I tried to do it on the ground floor and put my food to the microwave oven I got a very strict comment from the staff that tables are for the bar, the bar is closed, so I can’t use them. When I asked where could I eat my food I was suggested to go on the first floor with my food to the meeting room. Microwave oven and the kettle are on the ground floor, so after you warm it up you need to bring it upstairs. Table area can’t be used no way, even when the bar is closed.
There are no shared dishes or cups here, but maybe you could ask for plastic dishes from the bar. Take your own dishes to the hostel!
During breakfast time buffet area (small bar table) is reserved for groups, tables are for bar. So it’s not clear where you could have your own breakfast. As for the bar I would be happy to order breakfast there but they serve just sandwiches and croissants, no toasts, pancakes or eggs.
2) Rooftop terrace is closed for renovation, so the view I hoped for wasn’t available at the moment

The location is amazing super central, the rooms are spacious and clean
The walls are very thin, so you can hear others and the bar downstairs. But not to the point of not being able to sleep, so not the worst

This was really close to the centre and had nice staff. The rooms were clean enough but the noise throughout the night was unacceptable with doors slamming at 3-4am and shouting from the outside area.
6.0 / 10.0
The location was really convenient - right near the train station and within walking distance of all the main sights.
The bathroom was dirty and the toilet seat was broken. There were no curtains on the bunk beds. There was no kitchen, just a kettle, toaster and overpacked fridge next to the bar, and you had to pay extra for plates and cutlery. You also had to pay extra for a towel and padlock for the locker. There wasn’t really anywhere comfortable to relax, just cafe tables and chairs in the bar area.

Friendly and helpful staff.
Clean room, and a decent size.
Location
Bathroom gets totally wet when the shower is used.
Beds are short, no good if you are 6ft
No individual light for your bed.

The location, there's a convenient line to dry your towel by the bed, there's AC in the room. They have karaoke night every friday.
There's no kitchen. I didn't like the bathroom. It is inside the dorm room and too small for 12 people. It had regularly water from the shower on the floor, since the shower is level with the ground, and the toilet was dirty. This combination made me not want to enter the bathroom, but the only other one was downstairs in the bar and that one was luckily always clean. I didnt shower the whole 3 days but just swam in the sea. The room had a bad smell to it. There's no area in the hostel to just chill. The bar at the entrance makes you buy something in order to stay, even though the guys working there allow you to stay if you ask, but still it's annoying you can't just chill some place cozy.

Great location, 24/7 reception, clean, quiet
It is expensive for a hostel, there's no self-service canteen space, but there is a bar where you can buy food/drinks.

Best place to stay in Trieste! Very close to down town and to the station, the rooms are clean and comfortable ans the staff is super!

It's located very close to the city's main attractions—the canal and the main square. The receptionists are native Spanish speakers (and I'm pretty sure they speak good English too, as well as Italian). They provide a top sheet, so you don’t have to sleep directly under the blanket. There’s also a bar where you can buy reasonably priced fast food, and a separate area where you can eat your own meals.
Towells are not included, unless you book the whole room -for a group, I suppose. A towell would have made it perfect.

- very well located hostel (a few minutes away from the bus/train station,
- great helpful staff (night shift guy and girls during the day),
- relatively comfortable beds (but missing curtains for privacy),
- hair dryer in the common toilet,
- kettle and the microwave to use near the bar
- possibility to book on a short notice (as I did).
- tiny tiny bathroom in the room, not really comfortable to use (but good that it is at all),
- the cleanliness leaves much to be desired, but that's mainly the fault of the dirty users…

The staff was open minded and friendly, it was clean and the design is modern and functional.
In the bathroom a soap and a towel for washing hands would’ve been nice and my bed was to short for me (193 cm). Sometimes it can gets pretty noisy because of young teenagers (school trips).

Everything. The dorm is clean, the staff is welcoming and helpful. Bathrooms are well maintained and clean. Included breakfast is plenty and has variety.
You even get a towel. AC works right and the rooms are quite spacious.

Great location in heart of Trieste! Nice and kind receptionist. Room is spacious, you got sheets for bed. Wifi is good but you need to provide your email to connect. Bathroom is clean. There is a nice bar on the ground floor. I would like to stay here again.
No kitchen, towel and private locker are not included, uncomfortable bed, no shampoo in the bathroom.

Great location and great value for money, friendly and helpful staff!
Not much privacy in the rooms and toilets didn’t have any soap in them and could be dirty.

There is nice bar, great staff who always ready to help you, super location. There is variety of food in the closest supermarket that you can do in the microwave.
In the rooms as in any hostel you have beds and bathroom. And i think that's it. Means no chairs, desks, etc. You can put your stuff either on the bed or in the locker. I would say it is not hard to make it a bit better for the same price: for example to add a hand soap in the bathroom.
Also take into account that there is no kitchen: only a microwave and a kettle. So it will be hard to prepare dishes by yourself.

The rooms are nice and the bed is comfortable. All the beds have outlets to charge your devices too. Staff at reception were very kind and helpful. They also let you store your luggage for free before check in and after check out.
The walls are quite thin and the bunks don't have small lamps in them.
Be careful with the shower so you don't flood the room.

The staff was amazing! Our check in and check out was extremely fast and they gave us some great recommendations on what to do and where to go in the city. Our room was clean and equiped with everything we needed. There was a karaoke night while we were staying and it was a lot of fun!
It's also literally 2 min walk from Ponte Rosso and 5 min walk from main square.

Taking into account the Hotello is a hostel, it is difficult to find fault with it. It is excellent value for money and the staff could not have been more helpful. Just try to avoid being there on a Saturday night if you're not under 30: it's DJ night.
See above (but we knew what we were letting ourselves in for, so no complaints).N

Location in the city center. 3 min walk from public parking Molo 4, where you can park your car. Good for the price.

Hostel located in an excellent position, just a few steps from Piazza Unità d'Italia and with several parking options. Dogs are welcome. A modern and welcoming facility with various common areas. The rooms are typical of a hostel, but some are available with private bathrooms.
Perhaps the price is a bit high for an offer that does not include breakfast and has shared dormitories.

The staff were so lovely and helpful- they gave me a map on the first day and always greeted me warmly. The location was perfect, close to the sea side and a 5 min walk to the station. Locker space below the bed was appreciated- just bring your own lock.
There wasn’t a real common area, just the downstairs section where the bar was. There was a fridge, kettle and microwave but I felt like a nuisance asking the bar staff for cutlery.

The staff was very helpful and kind. I also joined their social program at evening, and it was great. The allover atmosphere at Hotello was young, relaxed and in ease.

I was looking for a place to stay that it is closed to the bus/train station as also to the city center.
I have to say that this hostel was a good choice.
I was greeted by the friendly staff in which help me with the check in and with all the information about my stay and some other information.
The room for which I stayed was big and clean. All the beds had access to the power in order to charge.
The place was clean as also the toilet in the room.
In each floor there were additional showers and toilets, which is good with so many people there.
Even if below the building there is a bar, you do not hear anything at all.
The breakfast, was really simple but everything fresh made and tasty.
I think that with so many people in the rooms, a curtain in each bed is a good idea in order to have some privacy.
