Peonios Apartment

The apartment was very comfortable, clean, except bathroom it was pretty spacious. Great bonus were 2 balconies! The owner is really nice and communication was easy. We really appreciated how equipped was the whole place, including some food in the kitchen. Really lovely choice for the stay in Athens.

The neighborhood was slightly less appealing, a bit uncomfortable being out in the night. But nothing too concerning. And it is great it is close to metro and to the city center.

The host was very responsive which is very reassuring. First class in this regard. The flat is very quiet, both during day and night. For me personally a big table is a huge asset and there was one. Another asset: A clothes rack. I don't know why so many apts don't have either that or at least hooks. This one has a clother rack. Although I did not use any: There was more food supplied than you would expect.

It's a bit lacking in interior lighting and the bathroom is affected most by this. Taking a shower is cumbersome, because you must switch on and off fuses in the kitchen before and after. The washing machine is there but no socket nearby - you've got to use an extension cable from outside the bathroom (I found one). The kitchen is on the smallish side. For me it was good enough, I'm not a cook. '

A very good value for money, I didn't expect to have so much space just for myself! The apartment is equipped with a fully functional kitchen, so it's great for guests who prefer to cook for themselves. The host also leaves snacks in the fridge free of charge (so thoughtful, thank you!). There's a small supermarket just a few steps away, and the apartment is conveniently located in between two subway stations. Really warm blankets, too. No need to heat the bedroom in January. Good communication with the host, as well.

It took me a while to figure out the hot water system, although everything was explained to me upon the arrival. This one's on me because I come from a different climate and different heating system. But after a few tries, I had it running just fine.
