Prior to arriving our host, Paulo, sent ideas for places to visit and eat at in Tirano. He then met us at the apartment to give us the keys in person - this is a great treat nowadays when so many places use key safe/deposit boxes etc.!! Paulo showed us around, made sure we were happy and said he'd return to collect the keys once we'd decided our departure time . . . what an outstanding host (with his brother Enrico). He also helped via WhatsApp when we couldn't find a restaurant with tables available. The apartment is clean, warm and inviting with well-appointed kitchen, a washing machine (and washing tablets), lovely hot shower etc. It's in a residential block less than 10 minutes walk from the train stations. There's a couple of flights of stairs, noted in the booking info., which were not a problem even with our luggage. Highly recommended for a stay in the historic village of Tirano and trips on the famous Red Trains!

Non era prevista ma i gestori sono stati molto gentili e accoglienti nel farci trovare caffè, te', acqua, biscotti e altro come gesto di benvenuto. Abbiamo inolttre apprezzato molto consigli e suggerimenti spontanei su luoghi di ristorazione, di interesse storico e naturalistico di Tirano e dintorni
