This was our fifth stay at this property. Every stay ends with discussion about when to come next! The owner and the local manager are wonderful - communicative and definitely convey the spirit of aloha. A five star experience, but with the privacy of a luxurious Hawaii style house, right on the ocean.

Perfect family friendly location

We've stayed at this property a few times now, but this was our first stay since the pandemic. New owners since our previous stay and although the property was already fantastic, they've found a few tweaks and improvements to make things even better. As other reviews have pointed out, as good as the photos are they really do not do it justice. There is simply nothing negative to say about this place. The location is stunning, watching sunsets from the garden wall is jaw-dropping. The garden is immaculate, a very generous size, and very private. The house is finished to a very high standard and the owners have thought of pretty much everything you may need while enjoying your stay. If you need a definitive example of perfection done right, just stay at this property. There is absolutely nothing I can say - however trivial - that is anything less than 10/10 Sitting in the hammock, with a morning coffee and an unobstructed view of whales breaching just a few hundred yards away........things don't get much better than that. We'll be coming back (again) - staying anywhere else on the island would feel like a huge downgrade.

This property is over the moon. We are truly lucky to have found such an amazing place. Our host was incredible, attentive, responsive and truly wonderful. We cannot wait to come back.

Everything was perfect!! I would highly recommend this property! Amy was super helpful with check in and questions throughout the week. The location was fabulous - beach, ocean and location to Kailua. The house was so comfortable, clean, well stocked and I really just want to live there. :). Coffee on the wall in the morning, reading in the floaty tube in the pool, games on the deck in the evening...it just doesn't get any better.

Beautiful home, wonderful location and scenery. Close to shopping, restaurants and activities. Close to amenities but feels far away. Plenty of space for everyone. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Landscaping was fantastic. A few hiccups, but were resolved promptly.

We had a great stay at this property, we loved everything about it! We will be back next marlin season for sure! The view is just spectacular... we could have booked a better house for our family holiday! Thank you again!

This is a fantastic location and beautiful home. It had everything we needed - beach supplies, pool toys, and a well stocked kitchen. The views of the ocean and sunset can’t be beat. Property manager was super helpful and checked in regularly. Beautiful home with lovely furnishings. Highly recommend!

Wonderful property ... very attentive to our needs during our stay. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely beautiful. Palm trees, ocean, gorgeous lawn. Saw whales and dolphins from the property. Waterfall, jacuzzi, lights can be controlled via a supplied iPad. Water lilies and lily pads in a water feature separate from the pool, next to exterior gazebo with walkway. All the rooms were beautiful with nice woodwork. Furnishings were top-notch. Model home. Easy communication.

This property is spectacular in every way. High quality furnishings throughout with everything in the kitchen you could ever need. A true Hawaiian-style open living space that brings the beauty outside, inside, with the sounds of the gentle breaking of waves just past the expansive lawn and the serene and relaxing sound of a waterfall in the background. Heated pool and hot tub (rare for even high-end rentals) and plenty of room for larger groups. There were whales close to shore all day, every day, along with large pods of dolphins swimming right by every morning and wondrous sunsets. Exquisite in every way! Amy, the Property Manager, was friendly, extremely helpful, attentive to everything we needed and was exceptionally responsive. We would give this property and our overall experience a "20" rating if it were possible. Don't miss the opportunity to experience this lovely Hawaiian home!

Property manager was awesome!

The property is gorgeous and perfectly situated on the ocean. It looks even better in person than in the photos, which is saying something. It feels like a private sanctuary, quiet and secluded, but it is very close to all the necessities in town. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for our large, extended family, from kids to grandparents, and was spotless and well-maintained. We can't say enough about how wonderful it was and how helpful the manager was with all our asks, from catering to whale watching and more. We will be back, and hopefully soon!

Great stay

We've now stayed at this property several times. I can't say enough about the location, the quality of the home, the awesome owner and property manager - the place is as close to perfection as you can get. That being said, the owner continues to make improvements every time we visit. The new lighting and sound system are amazing, creating an evening ambiance that is truly memorable. We are already planning our next trip (or two)...

Great house and yard, our family spent a lot of time enjoying the home. They definitely could use new bedding and towels and some cleaning of the furniture and living room rug. For the price, I would have expected top notch cleanliness and these items felt very “vacation rental”. Wonderful sunsets and nice to have AC and a heated pool.

One of the things we realized at the end of our stay was that we utilized EVERY part of the property, because it was so well laid out, every detail was thought of, and there was nothing we “wished” we had that wasn’t available. We felt like we were staying in a travel magazine ad - it was that beautiful. We easily housed 6 people (basically all adults) with room for more, if necessary. Little things like spices, condiments, first aid items, etc. make the stay just that much easier. Don’t hesitate - book this place if you get a chance!

Overall beautiful house in wonderful, private location in Kona. Jacuzzi was not working for 3 out of the 6 days that we were there. However, the agent compensated us with arranging a catered dinner and breakfast and 6 massages for all in my group.

Several of the reviews we read on this property said the pictures didn’t do it justice which was hard to believe given how beautiful the pictures are. Well, having stayed here, we all are in agreement - pictures don’t do it justice. This property was absolutely spectacular. The location cannot be beat; it’s on the ocean, extremely peaceful, convenient to town, shopping and groceries and had the most amazing sunsets. The house was clean, well equipped and spacious enough for everyone to be together or relax and enjoy in their own private spot. Most of our time was spent in the backyard where we played games (lots of games both inside and outside), enjoyed the pool and spa, read, napped in one of the hammocks, explored the tide pools just steps away or took in the incredible sights and sounds of the ocean. There were six of us with room for more and no one wanted to leave. This home made our vacation beyond special and we will absolutely book it again in the future.

I’ve been coming to Kona since I was a kid with my mom, now going with family and friends this was by far the best house I’ve stayed in so far. Everything was perfect about it, the beds, kitchen, pool, location, you name it. This house was top notch

We had an amazing time at this home. We were a group of 6 adult family members gathering for the first time since the pandemic to celebrate family and a milestone birthday. The house was better than expected and the location can't be beat. We were welcomed by Amy upon our arrival; she gave us a thorough tour of the house and gifted us beautiful leis for each family member. The location is perfect- just a short drive or walk to Magic Sands beach, restaurants and shops of Kona, and grocery stores. The house was fully stocked with many items that were unexpected like shampoo, conditioner, reef safe sunscreen, loads of beach towels, beach umbrellas, snorkeling masks & fins, boogie boards, pool noodles, pool tubes and floating loungers, water bottles and travel coffee mugs. The location, pool, and yard just can't be beat. We loved it so much the last few days we ended up not leaving at all and spent relaxing days along the pool and sitting by the ocean front. The house is perfectly situated to allow ample room for everyone to have privacy and also gather around the large dining room table. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. All the communications we had with the owner and property management were very friendly, detailed and prompt. They truly embody the aloha spirit. At the end of our week at this home none of us wanted to leave. We've all decided it's well worth the money and plan on making this home a regular place to gather as a family.

This is an amazing house! The yard and pool are the highlights, but everything about the property is great. To top it off, it is right on the ocean where you can hear the crashing waves every night.

Our family of 10 enjoyed a magical week. We had a group of young kids, teenagers, adults and seniors. The house was so comfortable for each age group and the grounds perfection. The pool was a big plus and we probably spent the most time there! Everyone could venture out and do their own thing during the day at convenient beaches, farmers markets, shopping or active pursuits (the zip lining in Hilo was awesome) and convene upon return to swim, relax, cook and enjoy the sunsets. So private and quiet with space to be together or to just chill. The property manager was very attentive and accommodating. The best vacation and blessed to be together. We hope to return!

The setting cannot be beat. Stunning - beautiful yard, huge waves, vast ocean, spouting whales. Amy the manager was fantastic. She welcomed us when we arrived with leis and a tour of the property. The house is lovely. The master suite is excellent. Two of the other rooms have bathrooms and are a decent size. The 4th bedroom is a little small and doesn’t have an en-suite bathroom but the hall bath is just around the corner. A real plus is that this house is not directly on Ali’i so there is no road noise. Only ocean! We would stay here again for sure. Thank you Amy and owners!

Most relaxing week of our lives!

The photos say it all. Sometimes photos won’t tell you the real story, for this property, the photos may in fact understate what you have. The house is comfortable and quite, the ocean is your front yard, and the wall in front is the perfect for watching the sunsets on the Island of Hawaii. Rent and enjoy!

We had a family gathering of 10 (4 households, including 8 adults, 2 kids - ages 12 and 13). This was the perfect house. Just far enough out of 'downtown' Kona to avoid the hustle and bustle but close enough for quick trips for groceries or other shopping. Magic Sands beach just a few miles away is a great sandy swim beach -- but the pool got the most usage. Often with VRBOs, the pictures are 'best possible condition' and not really what you get. This house, the rooms, the view all look just like they do in the pictures, if not better. Enough space to spread out, but the large dining table was used almost every night. The kitchen is fully stocked, and I mean fully stocked for cooking and serving and with a robust selection of cooking staples and condiments - it's a relief not to need to buy spices and for cooking when traveling. We were a bit concerned with kitchen space with 10 people, a 2nd fridge in the garage and a mini-bar fridge on the lanai were very welcome and well used. The pool toys (in an outdoor box near the pool deck) were also appreciated. The house is well stocked with pool/beach towels and they even had reef-safe sunblock for us. The house location is at the end of the road (road ends at the shore) with only private shore access for residents on the road. You might see a handful of people walking on the lava rocks on the shore, exploring the tidepools but it is exceptionally private (the adjacent lot is undeveloped). We watched dolphins swim by, jump and play nearly every day - a bit too early in the season for whales. The surf is too rough for swimming at the house, but good beaches are a short drive away. If you are evaluating options, while this might be on the high-cost side, especially if you are traveling with multiple households - it really isn't. We would have been looking at 4 hotel or resort rooms, and then eating out for many of our meals. In that regard, we would have likely paid equal or more and lost the privacy and beauty of this spot. (Tips: We used Safeway curbside pickup for groceries. And ordered 'catered' family meals/ party platters from Broke Da Mouth Grindz, Papa Kona - their Thanksgiving Dinner - and Sakura Sushi). I hope we can come back some day. I highly recommend this site.

This was our second stay at this property. This visit was every bit as magical as our last trip (in April) - and we have booked this venue for two more vacations in this coming year. The property is exceptional in many ways - the open layout, but without sacrificing privacy for guests; the beautifully landscaped backyard with pool; the unbelievable view through palm trees to the ocean and white water. Another feature that really makes this property stand out is the large backyard between the house and the ocean. This is rare, and really enhances a sense of nature and tranquility. Then there is the proximity to Magic Sands beach, and downtown Kona - with some amazing dining venues (don't miss hBar at Huggo's for sunset!). The communication with both the property manager and owner is wonderful. They respond quickly and are sincerely interested in how your stay is going. We are very much looking forward to our next visit(s).
