Shanduka Country Lodge

The receptionist, with a beautiful smile on her face, very helpful and friendly. And the man too, not sure if he is the property owner but he was very warm, minding his business, and letting us be. In a quiet, safe location. The property was clean above and beyond, the rooms were well made and honestly 10/10. We have a family member that was incarcerated and we will be travelling to Venda from time to time, this will definitely be our choice of accommodation.

The only things I did not appreciate can easily be fixed. 1. It would be more efficient to leave the wifi password or qr code in their rooms for visitors without the trouble of asking for it. We were travelling with a friend who mentioned she asked for the password and the receptionist forgot to give her. 2. There was only one coffee sachet and roiboos in our room, 2 sachets of milk, and 4 of sugar. I had lots of wine the day before and needed coffee later in the evening, i needed coffee in the morning as well but the sachets were used up. I like my coffee strong, with lots of cream, and we found that there wasn’t enough for a second mug, let alone the first cup. 3. There was also only 2, 250mls water bottles, which we gulped the moment we got there. It’s summer, too much heat, and dehydration. I believe these can easily be improved to accommodate visitors.

The cleanliness of the bedroom and a bathroom.

The air conditioner was not releasing cold air. Kindly check on it. Otherwise everything was all good.

The place is nice and rooms are clean, welcoming and we'll ornated.

The parking is very restrictive or congested. More parking is needed to accommodated more cars. I was asked to move the car for the vehicle which was parked in front mine.

The blanket/throw was smelly. The sheets really need an upgrade
