The house was very clean and many of the original features had been retained which gave it a lovely feel. All three bedrooms were a good size and the showers were excellent. The kitchen was well set up for self catering.
The house was on quite a main road which I hadn't thought about when booking. We would also have liked to use the woodburning stove but no wood was provided - if I had known this I would have brought some with me.

Such a lovely, clean, tidy and well decorated cottage. The garden was very pretty and we loved the view out onto the field of sheep. We all raved about how comfy the beds were and what a great nights sleep we had. The cottage had everything we needed and Mel was super easy to contact.

A beautiful cottage, clean and tastefully decorated, loved the garden and the amenities were well thought out and organised. Very generously some milk was bought for us and communication was excellent.

Superb little 3 bedroom cottage between Crickhowell and Abergavenny. Comfortable beds and seteees and all one would require for a stay in this beautiful part of the world. All kitchen utensils and appliances are provided also a beautiful back garden. One bathroom with bath and shower downstairs and one ensuite upstairs. There are bus stops outside for local buses and parking right outside the front door. We were visiting a local festival, so only stayed for one night. Would have liked to stay longer to enjoy the cottage and surrounding area. Would stay again without hesitation.
The Bluebell Pub next door seems to be permanently closed!!

Lovely location, we stayed the night before the Green Man Festival and location was perfect. Impeccably clean and well appointed, with a lovely host who kept in touch before our stay.
Everything was perfect.
The only downside was that the pub on the row was closed!

We had previously stayed at the owners B&B but booked this for 5 of us due to attending a family party. The property was in a great location and was perfect for what we wanted it for. The property was well equipped, clean and extremely comfortable. A big thankyou to Mel 😊

Lovely cottage. Very clean and well maintained. Everything you need. Parking outside on A40, so handy to use as a base if you wish to see some of the beautiful surrounding areas.
Everything was fine. Check-in was from 4pm, check out was 10 am. I would have preferred 3 and 11. Did have to hang around a bit to get in, then a bit rushed to leave. (We had been to a wedding the night before, so a bit of a late night, followed by a long drive home, so the additional hour in the morning would have been beneficial for us).

This place is so beautiful and comfortable and the hosts have thought of everything. The house is well appointed and nicely decorated. The bedrooms are a good size, the two full bathrooms are both very nicely fitted and the kitchen is lovely and overlooks the beautiful backyard. I just wish I had booked longer here - will return for certain next time I am in Wales.
Nothing I didn’t like!

House was very clean and nicely decorated
Car parking, very restricted, Only had a small area directly in front of the front door which opens out onto a very busy main road. On the second night, we had to park on the bus stop opposite because a neighbour was parked in our area.
Bring your own toilet paper, The supplied toilet was a very cheap thin brand.

I loved the location as it was easy to get into the Brecon Beacons and there were walks from the cottage. Rh whose was very helpful and it was great being able to arrive earlier than the usual check in rime
We were satisfied with everything

Can't fault a thing. It was perfect.

Very smart and modern and exceptionally clean. Small touches too like cleaning products and a pint of milk in the fridge!
It was a little cold when we arrived with no wood for the fire. A small supply to get people started would be appreciated for a January visit.

Road noise, A40.

Great little property that works as a fantastic base to explore Abergavenny and the surrounding towns. A short drive into the centre where there's a lot of shops, pubs and restaurants. Some great local walks around there too. I'd recommend driving off to do the "four waterfalls walk" as that was spectacular. There is a nice little garden with a table and chairs to sit out which was a great touch.
Within walking distance there isn't a huge amount as the property is on the main road which you can't walk down. There is a great pub/restaurant next door, however this gets pretty busy so you'll need to book. If you're looking for variety for places to eat and drink you'll need to drive, but it's close enough that this isn't really much of a pain!

Main bathroom shower screen not very effective, Road noise, limited parking

The house was great for our needs. Everything very clean and tidy, beds made up for us. Cottage kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need. Hosts very contactable and replied to messages and questions quickly. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a nice touch for the hosts to have left some milk and a few tea bags, sugar etc. The garden was lovely, garden table and chairs left out for us to use and the garden was very well kept.
The only slight issue a couple of us had (5 stayed) was waking early due to light curtains that let the daylight in, easily solved by us using eye masks, but host may wish to consider some black out blinds or curtains in the future. Parking is limited but we always managed to get parked somewhere in the hamlet.

Mel is extremely helpful. The property is lovely and cosy and very homely. Convenient location and lots of nice pubs nearby. We’d recommend the Crown at Pantygelli and Hunters Moon at Llangattock (further on from Abergavenny). Lovely.
