Alles super, man muss aber wissen dass es ein paar Treppen zu laufen gibt. Für uns kein Problem.

This was our second time here, even though we never did this before. We always go to a different place every year but this place is just special so we broke our rule for it. The path from the parking through the wild vegetation or the walk up the scenic streets and stairs - I would do those every day of my life if I could. Stamatina and the family are wonderful hosts, we felt like we were visiting friends. Travel tips, tavernas, new places to discover - I cannot describe the hospitality and care, all without disturbing our privacy. This place will forever be in our hearts, thank you again for having us!

The view is breathtaking, much better than in the pictures listed. The terrace is very big and welcoming. The routes behind the house are so charming, we walked to the small church and were amazed (you can snap some spectacular photos of Poros and Galatas). The entire walk takes no more than 40 minutes back and forth and is absolutely lovely, thanks to the breeze you can go at any time you want and you will not suffer from heat. The view of the sunset from the terrace is a dream, there are cypress trees and the sound of cicadas will make you not want to leave. Stamatina speaks very good English and is a very welcoming host. If you arrive by car, the walk to the house is an experience in itself, past the Old Mill (where you can watch the sunset) and through scenic Greek vegetation. About the stairs: the small 'streets' are absolutely charming, you feel as if you walk through people's homes. If you want to avoid climbing all of them at once, be curious, walk around and you will find alternatives. Regardless of the route you choose from the main street, the walk should not take more than 10 minutes going up. We feel lucky to have encountered a bit of authentic Greece, Poros itself is pretty touristy but sitting high on the terrace made us feel disconnected from all that. Final tip: after you go to Apagio (which is absolute class) and Poseidon, give the other tavernas a go: Primasera, Platanos, Caravella (the last one is the most authentic thing you can get, some elderly men running a true Greek place, even though they are being overrun by the Oasis giant). Don't blindly follow Tripadvisor, walk around and see for youself. If you want an even more authentic experience, take the boat taxi and dine in Galatas, tavernas are traditional, not fancy.
