The Manohara Hotel Yogyakarta

Location just outside of the 'center' making it easily accessible, but main destinations also easily reachable. Great staff. Well known, and respected with the locals.

No view. Spillage from shower onto bathroom floor difficult to avoid. Bed might not be great for people over 1.80m

Breakfast was acceptable, location is good, simple decent hotel

Lightning in the room is less, must have some option to have some increased lightning .

The room and hotel were beautiful. Very clean space, the bed was big and extremely comfortable, I had great nights of sleep. The pool bar was a lovely location to unwind, lovely views over Yogyakarta and attentive staff. The food provided at the hotel was extremely tasty and great value for money. We decided to extend our stay by one day and the staff were very helpful at facilitating this and ensured we got an extra day at a discount.

The cost of doing laundry was pretty high. The room also advertised 24 hour room service but the selection was quite limited at night which wasn’t ideal as we arrived late on our first night.

The roof top was nice

It is not made clear that the manohara hotel and manohara resort hotel are different properties (I had intended to stay at the resort one). Even the various hotel reviews for the manohara hotel talked about the perks of the resort hotel such as free entry to the park, with no attempt to remove those reviews for the other property. When I raised my confusion to the staff, their reply was- that happens all the time! With no attempt to redress the issue or change the fact that they basically have the same name. Staying at the resort was the part of my trip I was most looking forward to, so it was bitterly disappointing.
