Easy access to the town
No tea towels in the kitchen. We had to buy them. Had we known would have brought them and hand towels for the kitchen.

Lovely quirky cottage in a great location.
It feels homely and lived in.
The beds are very comfortable.
The garden is a fantastic safe enclosed space for kids & dogs.
Lots to do on the doorstep.
Our teenager loved the bike tracks, I enjoyed a visit to the community run museum, and we all liked the local restaurants, bakery & shops.

Quirky cottage, perfect for our week's stay. Large fully enclosed garden, great for the dogs. Excellent location close to the village and Anagach woods.
Nothing. The oven broke during our stay and the owner arranged for it to be fixed promptly.

Loved staying in this lovely quirky cottage in ideal location. Very clean on arrival, all bedding and plenty towels supplied for 3 of us. Staircase, uneven floors and outdated kitchen equipment not for some, I felt added to character of property, made a cooked breakfast one morning no problem, otherwise mostly ate out at Grantown on Speys various excellent pubs and restaurants.
Only one negative, shower in downstairs bathroom couid be updated please !

We liked the qwirkiness of the property and the fact that it was comfortable and homely. Initially, the property felt very cold, but soon warmed up once we knew how to adjust the radiator settings. The information in the house file was helpful and very detailed. As the weather was fabulous throughout our stay we went out for long walks during the day and never needed to use the stoves in the evening. The room layout suited us perfectly and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were modern and showers hot and efficient. We (all over 65 years of age) all managed to negotiate the narrow, steep stairs and appreciated the bannister and lighting when doing so. We were delighted to find a cupboard full of books, maps and games! A real treasure trove. We played a couple of games of Scrabble most nights! All in all, the property suited our needs perfectly. The location was great, too - being able to walk to the shops and set off from the property to explore various trails was an added bonus.
There was nothing we didn't like. Being more 'shabby' than 'chic', the property suited us well. Unlike some other guests, we didn't mind the fact that the curtains weren't matching and there was an assortment of cutlery and crockery. Such things created a 'haphazard' feel about the place that didn't put us off. To us, that was part of its overall charm.

Location was excellent. The cottage was a little quirky. It had a feel of being lived in recently, with the distinctive personality of that person strongly felt, together with some well-modernised facilities. Quite idiosyncratic but absolutely delightful.
A hairdryer would be a useful addition, plus a small bedside cabinet by the window-side of the double bed in the two-bed room.

The location was central and convenient for shops and eating out. Lovely woodland walks nearby too. Lots of places to visit in the car.
This was an old cottage and the owners have tried to bring it up to date with new windows, heating and a lovely shower room upstairs. There were nice touches like a torch, umbrella and binoculars by the door. It was cleaned well and smelled fresh on entering.
It did seem quite dark on entering the property particularly in the kitchen but we did get used to that. The sofa and chairs weren’t that comfortable to sit on in the living room.
The stairs were steep, so we had to be careful especially when coming down. One has to be careful walking upstairs as the floor slopes and the ceiling to the main bedroom is low.

Excellent location and very comfortable. Host's instructions and guide were exceptionally good. Charming to be next to a primary school. Proximity to electric car chargers an unexpected plus. Wood burners were easy to use and a delight. Electic heaters were very efficient. House was cosy.
Steep stairs need to be climbed with care and cooking equipment is very old and not extensive. A small investment in the kitchen equipment would make a significant improvement for those who want to cook.

Excellent location. Property is full of character with comfy beds.
Minor upgrade to kitchenware especially provision of a non-stick frying pan would benefit this property.

The cottage provided a wonderful experience that allowed complete relaxation in a lovely location for four nights. We enjoyed playing the board games provided, spending time together in the evening in front of the log burning stove. The cottage reminded me of times past with its old rustic charms, that brought many memories back and smiles.
I loved everything.

Everything!! The 2 working log burners. The sloping floor, the slanted doors. It was a step back in time in the most comfortable way.
The tv signal wasn't the best but we were in the Scottish Highlands 😀
