Laugharne Cottage Golwg Harddwch - pure water

The location was our favourite thing. So peaceful and straight out onto a bridle path that takes you to the estuary. Great for dog walkers and especially those with reactive dogs who need a quiet location. It’s homely and bed comfortable. Nice big tv which we watched the World Cup on. The host Joanna was lovely and on site. Dylan Thomas is buried in the cemetery, literally ( pardon the pun ) next door

There is a loft ladder ( large treads ) to access the bedroom so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Dog friendly, peaceful, private, welcoming touches such as welsh cakes and fresh flowers. Joanna had a great balance of being friendly and approachable without being at all intrusive. A very relaxing stay in great, practical accommodation in a wonderful location.

Lovely, clean, spacious converted garage, with everything provided we could have hoped for. There is ample parking space and Joanna gave us a warm welcome. Laugharne is the most beautiful village with lots of interest including of course its Dylan Thomas connection.

The main challenge was the narrow loft ladder up to the bedroom. A bit of a challenge at night, but we managed it!

Location was lovely and the shower was nice and hot. Good selection of games and DVDs to keep the children entertained. Owner always made sure parking was available for her guests and the double bed was comfortable for the adults.

It was not made clear via the booking description that access to the bedroom was via a loft hatch and ladder. Also not made clear that children would be sleeping, in effect, on the floor. Downstairs, the floors had not been swept properly and there was no brush or hoover in the apartment to do it ourselves so we were stuck with feeling grit and dust under our feet. Host was friendly but a little overbearing and didn't think it an issue to allow a stranger into our apartment during our stay, asking us to make sure we weren't in(!) so they could repair the TV aerial. No oven either so was unable to cook a pizza I had bought, did try in the microwave combi but no instructions provided.
