Another brilliant stay at Lovelace!

Excellent stay at Lovelace.

This was our third time at Lovelace but in the summer this time. We love the house but the surroundings as well. It was great sitting in the garden and listening to the stream. Very useful to have the bridleway next to the house. Great location for exploring Exmoor and further west Devon. We love Porlock Weir. It’s such a special village. Uschi was great with come as always. We will be returning!

We were very impressed with how comfortable and roomy the cottage was. It was very clean and tidy and what we loved most was the peace and quiet. We were very happy with our stay there 10 out of 10.

Nothing at all bad to say about the property The access roads to the property were a bit rough lots of pot holes and very narrow lanes but worth putting up with for the peace and quiet.

Weather made toll road difficult but going down to toll gate was fine, going up was difficult in conditions, I expect summer would be ok.

Lovely cottage at an idyllic setting! Will come back.

The house is situated at a very serene and peaceful location amongst trees next to a stream and a bridleway that is very useful for walks. Lovely to listen to the running water and the birds. Feels very private and safe. Walking distance to Porlock Wier that has a pub and restaurants. Less than 10min drive to Porlock that has a lot of shops. House has everything one may need and plenty of space. Pleasantly surprised and pics don’t do it justice. Perfect base for exploring Exmoor. We would come back again.

There was nothing we did not like. Just a word of warning, the stones in the garden at the back of the property can be quite slippery when it’s wet, so do take caution.

It’s a bit special.

Arriving at Lovelace feels very special. Passing through the gatehouse to enter the estate feels like being let through the velvet rope at an exclusive party.

A beautiful stay

Lovely lovely accommodation all brilliant. Quiet and peaceful. Bed was so soft. Lots of facilities. So cosy.

The only one disadvantage was the amount of flies in the bathroom when arriving. No batteries in fly bat.

Brilliant location, so quiet, with some lovely walks. Facilities were excellent and everything was well thought out!!! We would definitely stay again!

Cobwebs behind the bed and chest in front room. Perhaps a better bed topper for back sufferers, optional as needed.

Lovelace cottage a peaceful retreat from the rat race.

The kitchen facilities where excellent as was the overall cottage. It was exceptionally clean and well presented. Wonderfully quiet and relaxed location.

The bed was not the most comfortable, but as it it used by lots of different people it's not surprising. We would have liked the lounge sofas to have had higher backs as we could not fully relax whilst watching TV or resting at the end of the day.

Beautiful, restorative, peaceful.

The location and cosyness.

Mattress a little hard for me, but this is very subjective. Slept fine. Uschi even offered to provide a fantastic topper for our next visit. So, there's nothing to 'dislike' as such, just depends on what you are used to.
