Excellent location and a charming house!

Beautiful old house in a riverside location , ideal for visiting old Wetzlar. The rooms were well fitted but very small but that wasn’t really a problem. The staff were excellent. Breakfast was first class

The only issue was that on the Sunday morning we had a long wait to have a table for breakfast.

Wonderfully historic hotel, run by super friendly staff

Wonderfully historic building. Rooms are fairly small, but that doesn't matter a bit, as they are part of the history. They are also comfortable, clean and with good bathrooms. Breakfast is fantastic, and staff very friendly and helpful Access and communications all work very well

Boutique-Hotel Stadtherberge Wetzlar

We especially liked the location and the style of this hotel in old town Wetzlar! It is a half-timbered building that has been modernized, and done so very well. Our room was small, but that can be expected when staying in historic buildings. Despite the size, we did have every thing we needed. It was also neat and tidy! The best part was a little surprise built into the wall, but I will not spoil it here ;)

We did ask the owner/host of the hotel to confirm if the parkplatz that we were parked in was okay, and she was not exactly able to confirm. I will share that we parked in Parkplatz Lahninsel which is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. It is free to park there from 6 PM to 9 AM. The time in between you must pay. We do not mind paying for parking and it is typical to have to park outside of old town. You will also need to figure out a good spot to drop off your luggage if you are not able to walk the distance to/from the parkplatz to the hotel since such a location is not specified. I would also like to share that you must be able to carry all of your luggage up the original staircase. We are younger and able to carry our belongings to the top floor of the hotel. However, if this is something you are unable to do, consider asking for a room on one of the lower floors.

Überteuert Raum nicht für 2 Personen geegnet

Lage super, nettes Personal.

Ankunft in einem Zimmer das niemals 15qm hat wenn überhaupt dann 12 . Schräge über doppelbett eine Person liegt darunter. Fussabdruck im Bad -sauberkeit naja Dusche schlecht- regendusche und handbrause -letzteres hilft nicht wenn man keine Haare nass machen will da es egal wie umkippt und komplett alles nass macht. Licht über dem Bett -eine Leuchte nicht zum ungestört lesen angenehm aufwachen. Ein Wasser 0,25l für zwei Personen Öffner unter Schuhlöffel versteckt (wurde am nächsten Tag erklärt) Der Raum ist allenfalls für eine Person geeignet - Wir haben das Gepäck im Auto verkleinert und nur einen Teil mitgenommen. Der Hammer war dass dann scheinbar ein weiteres Zimmer zur verfügung stand zum kurzfristigen Angebot von 81€ statt 135€ - nach dem Ärger hätte ich mir da ein finanzielles Entgegenkommen am nächsten Tag gewünscht. Es wurde zwar Verständniss vermittelt aber weder Gutschein oder Preisnachlass

Haus und Zimmer sind hübsch und individuell eingerichtet. Zentrale Lage. Perfekter Ablauf des Check-in und Check out. Ausgezeichnetes, hochwertiges Frühstück, liebevoll zubereitet und serviert.

Romantische stek naast de rivier

Superfijne plek in het centrum. Ik had 1 van de ruimste kamers inclusief keuken en balkon en dat was goed te doen. De goedkopere kamers zijn heel veel kleiner. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, ontbijt was naar horen zeggen uitstekend.

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal ! Ausgezeichnetes und liebevoll gestaltetes Frühstück! Unglaublich schön und liebevoll restauriertes Haus im Fachwerkstil.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Das historische Gebäude wurde mit sehr viel Liebe saniert was beim Betrieb jetzt auch fort geführt wird. Jeder im Haus ist mehr als freundlich und man spürt, dass diese Menschen mit vollem Einsatz dabei sind - hier haben alle Spaß an ihrem Beruf und der Gast ist willkommen! Vielen Dank!

Heimeliger Ort um Wetzlar zu erkunden

Sehr zentral gelegen. Schön renoviert und mit kleinen Details versehen. Ganz tolles Frühstück in einem schönen, wenn auch sehr kleinem, Frühstücksraum mit einem unglaublich zuvorkommenem und freundlichen Service. Die recht kleinen Zimmer sind entsprechend der Größe sehr schön eingerichtet.

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer, in dem gerade so ein Bett reinpasst, entsprechend hatten wir nur einen Stuhl und man kann sich kaum gleichzeitig zu Zweit bewegen. Aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

Ich empfand meinen Aufenthalt insgesamt als sehr angenehm und überlege mir auch wieder zu kommen.

Das Interior war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Unterkunft machte einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck.

Die Temperatur in der Dusche unterlag starken Schwankungen. Schade fand ich auch dass ich selten Personal in der Herberge antraf. Auch bei meiner Anreise, innerhalb der Check-In-Zeiten, war niemand zugegen.

Zentrale Lage

Gebucht ein DZ mit Kingsize Bett, ein normales DZ (Betten getrennt wurde nicht bei Buchung erwähnt und gewünscht !) Erhalten 2 lächerliche Zimmer, in denen 2 Personen kaum aneinander vorbeikamen, das Kingsize Bett 1.40 m breit in die Ecke geschoben, kein Luxus, Bad im 70 er Jahre Stil, Zimmer einsehbar von gegenüber wohnenden Hausbewohnern Absolut lächerlicher Preis pro Nacht ! Wir kommen nicht wieder….

Das war der Höhepunkt einer herrlichen Mehrtageswanderung entlang der Lahn

Wunderschön und liebevoll restauriertes altes Fachwerkhaus in der Altstadt direkt an der Lahn. Sehr gemütliches Zimmer. Sehr aufmerksame und herzliche Frühstücksbewirtung.
