The Gravenstein Getaway is a perfect place for spending a long weekend with family and friends. This property has been in our family for over 50 years. Built in 1943, this newly renovated house sits on a private fenced acre surrounded by fruit trees. It’s within walking distance to town, a short drive to the beautiful vineyards of Sonoma County or the stunning beaches of Bodega Bay. This fully furnished two-bedroom, one-bath house comes with a fully equipped kitchen with everything you’ll need to make your stay enjoyable.

A hammock hangs for those lazy days of doing nothing. You can relax and dine on the spacious deck. There is a patio table and BBQ for anytime you have the desire to grill. For those trips to the beach, there's an outdoor shower to rinse off a fun day in the sand. A basketball hoop and balls are also on the property for shooting some hoops.

We had such a peaceful stay at this home. From the acreage, sound of the birds, and great spring weather, to the closeness of Sebastopol and access to freeways, this home was perfect for our stay.

Our family had a delightful stay at the Gravenstein Getaway on a recent visit to Sonoma County. The house is located on a private, beautifully landscaped acre, just a five-minute drive from downtown Sebastopol. The kitchen is stocked with all the cookware, appliances and utensils you’ll need to prepare meals. Lisa is a most thoughtful host and communicator. After our departure, she made special arrangements for us to pick up a few articles of clothing left behind. All in all, we had an excellent stay at the Getaway and hope to return there on a future trip to Sonoma County.

My wife, 4-year old daughter, and I stayed for the weekend to enjoy a Sonoma County getaway. Lisa was very communicative and helpful in getting us settled in. The house is clean and very comfortable with an expansive yard that gives lots of quiet and privacy. The location is tucked just a couple of minutes' drive away from downtown Sebastopol. The well appointed kitchen had us cooking up most of our meals with ease. The house is so welcoming and comfortable. Several friends stayed for a long weekend visiting wineries, the beach and redwoods. Lisa is an excellent host, with great communication before and during the stay. The place is well stocked for those who want to cook or with plenty of recommendations for nearby eateries if you also want a vacation from the kitchen. We also enjoyed the porch each morning and afternoon looking out onto the lovely gardens. Definitely a place I would like to visit again! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

This was our 2nd stay here and we absolutely love it. The property is private, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It is close to downtown Sebastopol and an easy drive to the coast, Santa Rosa, and many Sonoma wineries. Our dog loved exploring the completely fenced-in property. Lisa is very easy to work with and does all she can to provide anything you might need. We look forward to our next stay.

This was a first for us, an experiment to travel to a warmer climate (we live in the midwest grey and cold!) and work remotely. Of importance to us was strong Wifi and we had zero issues. The home was perfect for us, and also our dog, Milo, who enjoyed playing ball in the large fenced yard or sitting on the deck chewing sticks. The location is quiet, yet walkable to a nearby a wonderful grocery store, coffee shop, and a few restaurants. As a host, Lisa was great in communication, and always wanted to ensure all was going well. The home is so comfortable, and the kitchen thoughtfully equipped with all that we needed. Just a great place and location to get away. Our experiment to work remotely, although not so sure about how much work we really did (ha ha), was a great success and we are ready to do a repeat again next year at the Gravenstein Getaway. Thank you Lisa and Bob for sharing your home to others, it is tops on our list of rentals we have done!

This small house on an acre lot has everything you want for a relaxing vacation/getaway. We were in Sonoma County to visit family. We were able to bring our small dogs, cook intimate family dinners at home in the very well-appointed kitchen, and get to the grocery store and restaurants in minutes. Great views from the deck.

This small farmhouse feels much bigger than it is because the rooms are big, the windows give lots of views of the acre it sits on and also distant views, and the layout is visually good and also works well. The kitchen is new, well-equipped, and spacious. We had a nice feeling of quiet country, and yet we weren't far from town amenities (not easy walking distance, but a short drive). Everything was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in Lisa's lovely VRBO over Thanksgiving and couldn't have asked for more. The house is adorable and comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, the outdoor deck/BBQ fantastic. It is located on ~1 acre of lovingly cared for gardens and trees. Our pupster was with us and she had a great time in the fenced in yard. Lisa is a gem, very helpful and genuinely interested in having her guests enjoy their time in Sebastopol. The house is close to town, wine tasting venues, restaurants the Sonoma Coast, and many other fun spots to visit and explore. We have already reserved for Thanksgiving 2023!

Lisa was amazingly accommodating. She was available via text easily before during and after our stay. The property offers privacy and room for kids to let out energy. I am so glad that we found this place. We were in for a short trip for a family wedding and so glad we didn’t have to cram into a hotel room. We flew in late and out early and Lisa was able to accommodate our crazy schedule. I hope to stay again for our next visit. Felt like home - but cleaner!! 😊. Highly recommend!!
