I hated it, I could not stay there, it’s the worse

Unpleasant

Nothing, it was dirty. The bathrooms had used towels in the shower, hair in the beds and it was just very uncomfortable. I asked for an early check in, they asked for $30 extra but did not state the rooms were not cleaned they allowed me to enter the suites. After feeling very uncomfortable I decided to leave and asked for a refund. I did not get that refund of $140CAD.. very unfortunate as I work very hard for my money.

Everything was disgusting. If I had gotten my refund back, I wouldn’t be leaving such an honest mean review.

In theory a nice place but cleanliness/maintenance could be better

Staff was responsive via text on the day of booking. Relatively problem free getting into building and room.

The shared bathroom situation. The use of locks in the door handle is a poor system. Easy to lock out neighbors creating a hassle for them to unlock it, further it's possible for neighbors to unlock the handle anyway, so it's risky and not good privacy/security. The shared bathroom had lots of hair in the tub and clogging drain. The sheets/bedding had hair on it too and had not looked cleaned.

Fancy hostal

Should not be considered as a Bed and breakfast, not clean in drawers and under bed…. Dirty clothes and totlet paper under the bed. Not clean. Should be clarified as a fancy hostal! Bring your own everything you may need… not as posted at all. No coffee or anything

At first glance it looked nice but after looking closer the suite was run down and dirty. The house was very noisy all night long and the owner was trying to open the door at 9am . 1 hour before our departure time.

So first impression it was an okay place to stay, however each day another thing added to the experience making this place somewhere I would not recommend. Firstly when we arrive in our room we noticed the bin hadn’t been replaced since the last people were in the room. On booking it says there is a full kitchen, however there is no can opener so lots of food we bought went unused, when I said about this another can opener appeared but this didn’t work either. The toaster also doesn’t work. In the fridge there are designated places for each room to put their food, our food was moved more than once. We were also told the washing machine and dryer did not work, we saw the washing machine in use. The house is very loud, all the doors slam and the people in the room next to use where playing music very loud past 11pm. I also dropped something under the bed and when I retrieved it, it was disgusting (as seen in pictures). There is also no way to control the air conditioning so the room is either very warm or very cold. We have stayed in a lot better places for a lot cheaper and if we had the budget to go somewhere else we would have done, a few couples who checked in days after us, didn’t stay more than 15 minutes. All together I would not recommended staying here.

Beautiful home but could be cleaner

The room was spacious and the private balcony was nice. The location was very good and I felt safe in the neighborhood. The host responded quickly about issues and was friendly.

The bathroom in my room had not been cleaned in some time. It was clear by the build up of residue along the edges of the shower stall and the presence of hair in the shower. The floors had not been swept from the previous guest. The kitchen facilities were not labelled well and I had to search for things I needed.

Nice house and stay, but the dirty room,

There was a can under the bed. Generally dusty and uncleaned in the shared bathroom area and on the stairs. Doors were dirty. The owner needs to hire someone to clean the room before a new tenant arrives, and do a weekly cleaning of the common areas. That is the minimum expectation for the price and I would actually expect a refund for the unclean condition. Dirty uncleaned sinks in the kitchen area.

Adequate to stay after you figure out how to get heat. Don't expect soap and shampoo.

There was no heat. Outside the room is a thermostat in a locked container - the heat was set to off. There were no blankets available (when I complained I was told there were blankets in the laundry room, but the laundry room is locked all the time). The walls between the rooms are very thin, you can hear the people very easily. The kitchen was impressive - but not a pot, knife or fork, or even a cup for use. There is no bedside lamp, you must get out of bed to shutoff any lights.

Just so you know: Not a hotel

The decor of the shared area is very classy, and the amenities - though shared - are pretty extensive. I spent a lot of time in the dining room doing remote-work, which was comfy and quiet.

This is probably my own fault, but I was expecting the location to be akin to a hotel. It is not. It is a multi-tenant AirBnB, essentially. This means sharing bathrooms and amenities with the other guests. Not a bad setup in general, just not what I was looking/prepared for. I happened to have quite quiet neighbours, which made it a pleasant stay overall, but the walls were pretty thin, so be prepared to hear a fair bit of talking and/or TV usage from other rooms if it's busy season.

Did not follow threw with the bookings we paid for

We paid for 2 nights and on arivel we did not receive the room we booked the room did get changed to another still not the room we rented it was a shared bathroom we had a guest open the door to the room we had no heat could not sleep because of how cold it was all the heat controllers say to not touch so we just had no choice but to freeze all night and alsowere informed they would like deposit we were not aware of the next morning we were told to pay again when the room was pre paid for 2 nights in full .The lady we had rented for was very rude and got aggressive when I tried to show her the payment on the site and for how many days and also the room we rented nothing was followed threw with on her part from the booking we made on bookings.com.Further more not offered towels or toiletries or toilet paper the next day when I asked about anything she would not look at the booking agreement and was very rude and just kept talking in another language to her partner needless to say was a very unpleasant stay and would really like the money back for the extra day at least that we were made to pay .

Absolutely filthy. Kept security deposit even tho it was more clean when I left than when I checked in. The worst place I’ve ever stayed at. No utensils or anything to cook with even tho it’s so dirty you wouldn’t want to cook. It says there’s laundry but you actually have to pay extra for it.

Sunsuite in surrey is highly recommended

Communication was smooth and fast, the rooms and shared area are spacious and clean. Owners are super accommodating to any issues that comes about they're happy to resolve them. Always leave a happy guest! 5/5 star! If you haven't been here check it out. I would recommend to all myfamily and friends 🌟✨️

Disappointing

The room and bathroom were not clean. The room. In particular, it was incredible dusty. The fan was dirty and oily (we hadn't been told that this unit didn't come with an air conditioner). We found candy wraps under the bed with used water bottles as well and accumulated dust. The walls were dirty, the window was dirty and dusty. The window had stains and was equally dusty. The chairs and table were dusty as well. The room was also not swept. The bathroom was not swept. There were stains in the sink and on the sink (it looked like mucus). The bathtub had hair in it (I'm guessing from our neighbour?). We flushed it out before use. Overall I won't be booking this stay ever again.

Sun Suite afforded a quiet, well-kept room, in which to rest, after a ferry ride from Nanaimo.

The location, in a quiet residential neighbourhood, was superb. Parking was adequate and safe. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was perfect. Washroom facilities, in room, were clean and state-of-the art. The common areas, downstairs were also clean, comfortable and exceptionally maintained.

I can't think of anything I disliked.

It not a Inn to begin with the pooress system to get in they trying to call themself à boutique hotel ...not closes to ir...the only thing good was bedroom...No where to eat far from everything the Taxi had no know of it how can it be a motel or hotel or Inn or B and B...I would remove them from your list and hopeful all the other do same...

Missing kitchen supplies such as food bowls, plates, cutleries and pans. The floor was also dirty I would advice to vaccum and mop the floor. Include slippers for customers.

i didnt like anything because i booked room for one day 13 was check in and check out 14 and i booked room on 13 april around 2 am so my checked out time was around 10am on 14th april so went to room at 2 am in the morning and i left the room after 4 hrs around 6 am in the morning on same day because of my flight but unfortunately i missed my flight and i told to u manager that i missed the flight and i want the key back because i booked for 1 day but i spend only 4 hr and he told me that u already spend night there we cannot give u the keys does it make any sense i went to the room on 13 april at 2 am and then sleep and left the room around 6 am on the same date how i spend night there
