Modern Apartment by the Sea

Needs new toilet seat. Could do with having a small turn key safe, for passports & bits.

The apartment was a one minute walk from the beach. A few good restaurants nearby. Apartment was sufficiently stocked with cutlery, plates, cups, pots and pans. Balcony was nice with a small sofa in the corner to sit on. Mrs Mariana, who met us, was on time. Vasco, the property host was easy to reach and was quick with responses. Bar stools were nice, working fridge and freezer. Lots of hangers in the cupboard in the hallway. Sea view from the bedroom and balcony. Accessible, nearby parking on most nights if you didn't get home too late. First floor apartment so it was easily accessible (there were two lifts too which were always working). Pharmacy right underneath you so good for any emergencies.

Apartment looked modern but the quality was not. Some things like the bed and drawers were dated and tired. Drawers were hanging off the hinges when pulled out. Bed would creak with every small movement. Pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable. No ventilation in the bathroom. Crumbs and dust in the kitchen drawer. Cigarette burn in the padding for the balcony sofa. Found a small millipede in the bedroom drawer so I removed all of my clothes as it grossed me out. Television didn't connect to anything. Some noisy neighbours on some days. Bar across the street which meant some noisy, shouting people late at night. This apartment definitely needs a good deep clean and a revamp to keep it's modern feel.
